I was a guest of a friend who had a timeshare at the Grand Islander. While the 2 bedroom unit was very nice with a lovely ocean view, housekeeping was mediocre at best. Front desk informed us only one day of housekeeping was included but we could call for additional towels etc. But if we wanted additional days of housekeeping it would cost us an additional $147 per day. Between the pool and beach not including the sand, 1 cleaning day per week is not enough. Covid is over & the resort needs to hire back the staff to keep the rooms fresh. The Tapa pool was also poorly maintained. There was an oil film & cloudiness in the water for 2days before it was cleaned so we went to the beach instead. Lastly, they only provided one pool towel & if you didn’t provide a green towel card you did not receive one. For a Hilton resort this is definitely not what we expected. Shame on you!!!

Our second time staying at the Grand Islander at Hilton Hawaiian Village and it won’t be our last. The room are large, comfortable and beautifully decorated with full kitchens. Makes it nice to be able to have breakfast and lunch easily available. Just a quick walk to Waikiki beach and easy access to the resorts many pools, shops and restaurants.

We experienced the most amazing stay starting with penthouse check in at the lounge to all interactions with their staff. They arranged concierge last minute services for car rental and surfboards. They were friendly and treated us like royalty. The room was exceptional and outfitted with every top grade amenity you could ask for. Can’t wait to return

We had to watch it on the news that there was a Legionnaires outbreak at the hotel, with now 5 confirmed cases!! We were not notified by the hotel before or after our stay. They changed all our shower heads while we were there so they knew! This is a huge liability!!! We had to scramble to get tested upon return to our homes. Our tests are still pending but we are showing symptoms!! This is crazy we weren’t notified by the hotel. So awful for a Hilton property!!

Overall HHV resort was great! It's big with lots of food and shopping options and everything is just a short walk from each place. Pools are nice but on the small side but both bldgs we stayed at had their own pool & hot tub which was nice. We tried most restaurants and the food was pricey but delicious, down to the pizza and burgers! You have to try Fresco and the prime rib at Tropics Bar. Bali is an upscale pricey restaurant but we had a great ocean view and food was good, almost made us forget about the cost :). Stayed at GI for 7 days then at Kalia for 3 days. GI 2 BR ocean view (2401) was a corner room with magnificent views!! It was only 2 of us so the room was huge, clean and well maintained. From front desk to bell men everyone was very nice and helpful. GI is furthest from the ocean but worked for us and most of the tours pick up from their LL so that's convenient. They have their own pool and hot tub which was nice I never even went to any of the other pools. I would definitely recommend staying in this bldg although I know the points are high but in my opinion its worth it. Kalia stayed in 1BR ocean view (1457) corner room. It was very nice but older than the GI and didn't have the conveniences of washer/dryer in our room, ice maker in room, separate shower etc. We knew this going in but it was a challenge going from GI to Kalia. This resort is very nice and close to lots of other restaurants and entertainment. I would definitely recommend!!

We have been to the Grand Islander on a prior occasion - fabulous staff, and overall the hotel is quite nice. So this trip we saved several years of points, and rented the ocean view suite in celebration of my birthday. We are quite disappointed we did - and it is doubtful we will ever do it again. The "ocean view" should be classified as a 70% city and other hotel view, with a 30% ocean view - this room is a partial ocean view at best. Our balcony is essentially cut in half with a solid wall to our right that blocks any view to your right. The adjacent rooms have a full balcony unobstructed - why Hilton do you classify this room as being an ocean view --- and why do you charge the ocean view price for this room? We are quite disappointed.

This review is for unit 709, a condo, at the Grand Islander Tower at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki. This unit is absolutely beautiful!!! The main bedroom has a very comfortable king bed with an attached master bath. This bath includes a deep bathtub and lovely shower. The 2nd bedroom has two beds, queens I think, which has a full bathroom featuring a shower, not tub, across the hall. The washer/dryer really came in handy for our party of 4. There is a full kitchen with a large fridge. The living area is beautifully decorated with an attached balcony which overlooks the 3rd floor pool and has a far away ocean view. Parking was $57 a day with the tax. We chose to park off site for $23 a day at Marina Parking on Hobron street. This was a 15 min walk away which was somewhat inconvenient, but cheaper. There are many shops and restaurants in the village which were very convenient. As guests in the Grand Islander, we could use all the pools on the Hilton Hawaiian property and charge drinks etc. to the room. The pools and beach are about a 5 min walk from the unit. The beach has little rocks etc. so take water shoes to really enjoy this beach. Overall a fabulous stay. We would rent here again. Cheri Torrey

We spent six nights at this property as HGV owners and generally, it is very nicely done, being close to the amenities of the Hilton Hawaiian Village and the rest of Waikiki. However, there were two major issues for us which soured the experience somewhat. Firstly, the adult-only pool is located on the third floor and its configuration puts it right in a wind tunnel when there is a breeze. We were pummelled by high winds every day we were out there and the attendant who was there confirmed that this was a regular occurrence. It's not hard to see why the pool area at this hotel is sparsely used, even when Waikiki is overflowing with tourists right now. The second issue were the mattresses. They were both lumpy and soft and made for very poor sleeping. This was surprising given the young age of the property. These issues were significant enough to make us unlikely to stay there again. If these are not big issues for you, then this hotel would be quite nice.

Newly built resort located in the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Rooms are spacious - my 2 bedroom suite was close to 1100sq ft. Housekeeping staff were timely and rooms were very clean. They have a lounge available exclusive for guests staying at the resort if you have a later flight. I was fortunate to be taken care of by one of the managers Shiho who was able to accommodate my family needs. She also made some great recommendations for restaurants in the area. Many thank Shiho for making my stay comfortable! Room tip - there are different room configurations for the 2bedroom suite. I highly recommend the corner suits for those who need more space with separation of the bedrooms to the kitchens. Higher units have better floors. There are 38 floors but I believe most of the higher units are protected for owners.

This is an amazing property. I stayed in a 2 bedroom/2 bath room. It was beautiful, and clean. Has everything we needed and more. The staff was amazing and reached out regularly to find out if we needed anything and met every request. Very impressed!
