Great location, it's smack dab in the middle of Waikiki. From here, you have access to EVERYTHING and every where. The service was excellent and the maid service was outstanding. The prices for rooms here are quite reasonable by Hawaii standards. Parking is a little odd and the "front" entrance is a little confusing at first. We valet parked every day and that made it much easier. You enter from Kalakaua Ave from a driveway that almosts looks like you're about to drive down an alley way. Pull under the building, drop your car with the valet and head up the escalator to the "main" level. The rest is easy.
My family and I highly recommend this hotel. We took our infant on his first trip. We have no regrets booking here. The front desk and housekeeping staff were phenomenal. Angelica and Kristina were very welcoming at the front desk. Vicky in housekeeping made sure our room was immaculate after a long day at the beach. I loved the location of the hotel. It is right in the heart of Waikiki. We were able to get our supplies, shop and enjoy the beach within walking distance. The prices for the rooms were of great value especially for a young family. I found the hotel luxurious, fresh and inviting. I absolutely loved getting breakfast at the aroma Cafe. We didn't try the pool but I loved the design. I would stay here again!
Very nice hotel excellent service. Housekeeping and front desk both do a great job this is my second stay here and I will be back. Can't beat the value. Location is perfect. Nice pool area great coffeeshop
Great location & rooms are great. Ocean view room which is great and there is so much going on around the hotel. Check in and stay was made even better by Kristina! She was amazing and very pleasant to deal with. Would def recommend staying here
I have been to Hawaii many times, but after staying at the Beachcomber, I can't think of any other hotel other than this hotel. The location is good, the cleaning is perfect, and all the staff are bright and pleasant. The receptionist Christina was very kind and polite. Your smile was so beautiful. I would like to ask Christina to be in charge again next time. Thank you
I had a great stay at the Outrigger Waikiki Beachcomber! Upon checking out I needed additional help with storing items and Kristina went above and beyond to provide excellent service. Would stay here again 100%
After a long flight, O.W.B. H. front desk employees, Ashley & Kimiko welcomed us with their warm smiles and excellent customer service skills upon checkin. Katherine & Jess, also front desk, cheerfully assisted us to locate various restaurants & tourist attractions throughout the week. Bell desk employee, David, gladly offered to help with ride accommodations upon our departure from their hotel. Our room was immaculate (this due to the work ethic of hardworking Qiao, housekeeping) with a breathtaking view of the Waikiki shorelines from Diamond Head east to stunning sunsets in the west. The location was outstanding with access to beach, restaurants, shopping & local entertainment. We were extremely impressed with the Ohana hospitality of O.W.B.H. This establishment must have great leadership in place to impact the employees who serve with loyalty & dedication. The only concern was the gentleman coughing up "hair balls??” in the next room ( or so it seemed) each morning. (thin walls ?) 😆…
Our stay at the Beachcomber resort was wonderful. So much that we decided to extend our stay! The room was exceptionally clean, tastefully appointed and in a great location but what I think stood out most was the exceptional customer-service displayed by Kristina upon checking in and checking out. She was extremely helpful and made our stay that much more enjoyable with her pleasant attitude.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. I’ll dive right in: Pros - Room felt modern and clean. Enjoyed coming back to hotel at the end of day. - Housekeeping staff was excellent and beyond friendly and accommodating. - Very convenient location. It is half a block from the beach. - Reasonable price (we paid about $300 a night after fees) - Front desk was lovely and very helpful with packages and deliveries. - Laundry in basement is $8.00 total for wash and dry + detergent available to purchase. Takes card or has machine to get quarters. Cons - The pool area was packed. Most days we couldn’t get a chair at the pool, let alone a towel to take to the beach. On a few occasions we had to tell the front desk they were out of towels and wait in the lobby. This didn’t feel right with the $40 resort fee. - The HVAC sounds from the neighboring hotel drifted into our room on floor 24. It made sitting on balcony less pleasant and couldn’t keep the door open at all as too noisy. - Need full length mirror in room - Shower was tiny and could use some renovation, but rest of bathroom was nice. - Pillows were too thick, could barely use. - Fitness center was fine but felt very internal, small and stuffy.…
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights to do a little honeymoon. During our stay we had so much fun and really enjoyed ourselves in every aspect. All hotel staff were super friendly and helpful, the supervisor I believe her name is Joy, was so kind and sweet! She really made a difference. We also appreciate Katherine as well, she was very kind and generous in helping us celebrate our wedding. The pool was nice and fun, the housekeeping staff were always so polite and kept all spaces super clean and comfortable. We definitely plan on coming back for our anniversary, or next time we plan on doing a staycation. If you’re local, the Kamaaina rate is great! Only downfall was Maui Brewing Co (the restaurant connect to the hotel) we didn’t really care for them… Everything else is excellent, even the valet parking! That was a huge bonus for us. Definitely one less thing to worry about. The hotel location is great, walking distance to tons of restaurants, shopping, ice cream, the beach is right across the street. Highly recommended …
