We stayed in the old original building staff were extremely helpful. Had the choice of 2 pools or the beach. One pool ideal for families with children however can be noisy and hard to find a deck chair if attending around or after lunch. Room...More
There is something so special about this place. I stayed in the newer building tower this time and really enjoyed the visit. Great property with lots of character and options in prime location. The only thing lacking is the small pool size; but then with...More

Aloha Deborah G,
Thank you for choosing to stay at The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort. We are thrilled to hear that you had a memorable stay with us, and look forward to welcoming you back again in the future.
This should be your one and only stop in the Islands, no need to jump around, (maybe North Shore for a couple of days). Drive to Pearl, check out the pool at the Sheraton, walk to the Moana for a drink, or just get a...More

I honestly cannot fault this place. We were upgraded on arrival and well looked after during our week here. The staff at the Royal ALL went above and beyond in their service, everyone from the housekeeping to reception to concierge and pool/towel staff.
Great property, friendly staff and and a thoroughly enjoyable stay. We had a room on the 3rd floor with no special view but enjoyed every minute of it. Beach chairs at the pool were mostly available and came at no cost unless you wanted to...More

Amex Plat to book things is a pain even though they try they are going to recommend you to places on their bookings... They always get screwed up.. It's better to call and book things yourself... Ya the hotel staff in bookings seems always to be unorganized.... Every hotel their has those problems... It's better to go thought the gm than deal with the front desk... It's still a good hotel right next to everything... And u can walk to most things
Just be Ware that the cab divers there dive slow as possible to charge more their cab rates a rediculouse... If someone needs a wheelchair u been ordering ahead as most hotels there subcontract them for use...
Fyi u should ask locals about good food and don't go based on Amex rec or the hotels.
Roy's everyone recommends but it's super expensive and you will be there for hrs
Try the cook at the table deal across the street it's good
