My girlfriend and I loved the Attwater's location right in the center of Newport. Andrea and Billy were outstanding hosts and really went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We stayed in the King Suite which was lovely. Highly recommend!

Really comfortable, very quaint, and insanely well-curated, the Attwater was the best place to be during a rare March blizzard that limited much more than anything other than reading, cards, and Apple TV. Manager Billy gave us a very generous upgrade (highly recommend joining the Lark Club - crazy-good perks) and we weathered the storm in our suite. Look forward...

Caught a flash sale and took the opportunity to check off one of our "to-go-to" trips: Newport, RI. Granted it was March and in the days prior the forecast called for Winter Storm Stella - but we decided to go and ride it out. Great place - super friendly managers and a great "small-plate" breakfast. Seeing the weather was turning...

The Attwater doesn't look like much from the outside, but the owners have done an incredible job building a nice boutique hotel. The rooms are spacious, although the bathroom in our room was a bit small. There is a fireplace in the room, which is a nice style touch. And the breakfast offers some unique treats!

Though we arrived in New Port earlier than expected, we were able to check in almost an hour early because the room was prepared. That was a plus! The hosts, Andrea and Billy, were exceptionally warm and welcoming, not to mention, they were well-informed about the area and simply, so down to Earth. We had to call the emergency #...

I usually stay in one of the larger hotels in Newport when I visit but Thanksgiving weekend was different -- I stayed at The Attwater. Everything about it was perfect; you felt the history of the building and I loved what they did to bring it into this century. Location was perfect -- right off of Bellevue Ave. The manager...

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. On arrival we discovered that we had been allocated a different room from the one which we had booked. This would have been a problem as I have Parkinson's and need a walk-in shower so we had paid extra for a suite. However, the issue was quickly resolved and we were given...

My daughter and I only stayed one night on a whirlwind New England road trip and I can honestly say we will return if we come back to Newport. Beautiful hotel, comfortable bed, quiet room. Got a great night's sleep and came down to breakfast of several slightly eclectic offerings. Very tasty and plentiful. Great coffee, too! The hotel is...
