We were also at the Inn during the weekend snowstorm and witnessed the terrible public humiliation of the guests by the innkeeper. We were all sitting in the dining room, contemplating the snow and our travel plans. We thanked one of the staff for coming in despite the weather and her reply of "don't get me started" indicated that the day...

My wife and I stayed at the Ivy Lodge in Newport RI this month. We were greeted by the wonderful innkeepers, Darlene and Daryl upon our arrival. The Ivy Lodge was so warm and inviting. We immediately felt right at home. Any questions, cares or concerns we may have had were immediately addressed. We found our room to be ready...

We were there on the same weekend as "Stay Away". Darlene was overboard about the snow. None of the guest had a problem with the weather. But when you put people who don't know each other in the same room, the conversation usually leads to the weather. And it's not a bad thing. It just seems Darlene did not know...

While staying at this Inn this past weekend, a "blizzard" came into the N.E. Since most of the guest there had to leave and we did not, We offered to help with the ease of snow removal with placement of our vehicle. The Owner, Darlene, flew off in tirade, about the "guest NOT understanding the weather conditions outside". All the...

They were extremely gracious in attending to the needs of me and my mom who were traveling together for a weekend away. The house is beautiful and beautifully kept. Our room was lovely - extremely comfortable and quiet....

My husband were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and decided to do something different, as we travel a lot. Decided to go to Newport for a change and found the Ivy Lodge on line, it was more then we expected for a Bed and Breakfast. It turned out to be the most relaxed getaway we had ever experienced. The staff...

I took my boyfriend to the Ivy Lodge, it was better than expected. The Inn Keepers were away the weekend we stayed but we had a very gracious hostess Nicole who was wonderful. She showed us the map of the town and recommended restaurants and things for us to do. We stayed in the Library room, I was a little...

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful B&B the weekend after Thanksgiving and had the greatest relaxing weekend in awhile. We were welcomed by the gracious innkeepers Darrell and Darlene. As newlyweds and first time b & b guests, we had a really nice time. This experience will definitely set the standard high for any future b & b we visit. The Lodge is easy to get to from many of the main attractions and yet is a nice, quiet place to just relax and unwind. Breakfast is a treat...
