There weren't many hotel options near the park and this was a great option. The rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. The sheets were surprisingly softer than higher end hotels I've stayed at, the room was bigger than standard rooms and a mini fridge was included which was nice to keep our water cold. It's hot during this time of the year the A/C works very well to keep the room cool at night.

Due to covid - they couldn't offer free breakfast, but instead we were able to grab coffee/juice/water, yogurt and packaged pastries to take with us which was nice of them to provide with the current restrictions.

If you are going to be in the area, I recommend you stay at this hotel!

The hotel is very clean which is important in theses COVID times. Check in was easy and the staff was friendly-all staff were wearing mask. The room was clean, bed was comfortable. I stayed in the section that is right behind the reception area to the left and was not bothered by any outside noises. Now, the air conditioning did not work. After hoping for about two hours that it would cool down I called the front desk. The person that answered first, asked me if I had one with the digital setting which I did, he then told me to set the temp at 65 and it would take about twenty minutes. I told the guy that I had it set at sixty one and it’s been a couple of hours; I was told that for some reason the lowest it could be set was sixty five anything lower would freeze the inner workings and that a man on the third floor had called with the same problem one time and after setting the temp at sixty five he called back to tell the front desk his room had cooled down. This story seemed a bit off to me because if setting the temp below sixty five degrees freezes the inner workings of the air conditioner why wouldn’t the hotel post a note not to set it that low? Anyway, I clarified that the settings should be on cool and not dry or anything else. Needless to say the room never cooled down, the air conditioner was nothing more than a fan in the wall and blew in air at what ever temperature it was outside. I sweated all night. When I checked out I mentioned that the air conditioner in my room (204) didn’t work. I think the management already knows this air conditioner doesn’t work and I was fed a line about getting it to work knowing full well it wouldn’t happen. I am not sure about any of the other rooms air conditioners.

The hotel offers breakfast but due to COVID 19 that meant muffins, coffee, yogurt. Obviously, the breakfast situation is not under their control.

The overall experience was good. It was a typical 2.5 stars hotel.

This seems to be the largest hotel accommodation facility in the Three Rivers area. It is at a convenient location for the Sequoia NP entrance. There is a convenient market right across the hotel. If you are also planning to visit Kings Canyon NP and go thru Sequoia NP, this would be a good place to stay at. Otherwise, it takes a long time to go to the Kings Canyon NP entrance from Three Rivers.

This hotel has both interior and exterior corridor guest rooms. When we arrived, no interior rooms were available. The front desk staff was not as helpful. When asked about local area, he was not able to provide any info.

We had a 2 queens bedroom with a small fridge. The room is clean and specious. The fridge temperature control was not working properly. We had turned it down but our food still got frozen in the morning. The toilet/bathroom has a single light and vent control. We normally liked to leave the bathroom light on overnight for toilet visit during the night. Due to the vent noise, we left the vanity light on instead. It was a lot brighter. If lights bother you to sleep, suggest you wearing a eye mask.

The gym was small and the treadmill was broken. Sauna was not available.

The breakfast buffet with hot food was pretty good. My friend loved the waffles. It would be nicer if the breakfast selection not remains the same every day.

Convenient and easy to get to the southern entrance of Sequoia National Park and / or Kings Canyon National Park. A few restaurants along Sierra Drive for the dinner time. Rooms were clean and there was a hot breakfast consisting of hot eggs, sausage, bacon, lots of cereal and yogurt. They have a small gift shop and pool as well.

I had reserved 2 rooms with my visa card. 1 room had ants all over and had dirty counters, microwave was dirty also fridge was dirty and didn't close right. They other room did not have hot water the day we checked in(which we didn't know until 10pm after the pool) and the next day also. My granddaughter woke up with 20 ants on her bed and there were ants in the trash can leading up to the cupboards. We were able to change rooms .The other rooms were fine except that every day, yes everyday, our room keys were demagnetized so we had to go to front desk, which is inconvenient when we are on vacation trying to enjoy being away from home. Secondly housekeeping comes in our rooms when we have do not disturb sign on the doors. Usually I wouldn't have a problem but with the COVID thing going on I didn't think they were suppose to come in unless we asked for housekeeping. The reason I know is because prior to coming here to Three Rivers my family and I were in Yosemite for 7 days and we were told about the strict regulations with the whole sanitizing and disinfecting thing. Anyway we were only at The comfort Inn 4 days and for 4 days they had made different amounts of charges on my master card. I only reserved my rooms with my visa card but turns out that 2 days after I checked out they charged my visa card AND master card for a total sum of over $4000.00 dollars. On the 3rd day of being there I find out about all the charges being made, about 25 different amounts. Of course the card would be declined after making numerous charges in different amounts. When checking out I was told all amounts had been declined which is a lie because when I called bank, they went through and made me over my credit limit. These people do not know how a business is run. Here it is 3 days after checking out and there are still charges being made on both cards. What a headache its been to call bank and credit card company to fix these damn charges. Tiffany at front desk was helpful and very nice and young man who checked us in was very nice also as for the manager and other front desk man they are terrible and need to be trained better. I have NEVER had so many problems at a hotel before ,many things need to be fixed there and cleaned. This place is by no means a Comfort Inn it should be named the lowest in the chain maybe Econo Lodge. Lookout people and check your statements or pay cash.

I stayed at this Comfort Inn for one night while I was visiting Sequoia National Park which is just a few minutes down the road. Check in was quick and easy - the woman working behind the counter made it a point to tell me that someone would be working all night and the lobby would be open if i wanted to come down in case i ever felt uncomfortable as I was traveling by myself. I appreciated this extra touch as I was not familiar with the area at all. The surrounding area is rather quiet and there is a grocery market across the street as well as a few places nearby to eat dinner or lunch.
The room was a good size and comfortable. Everything was clean.

Traveling during covid times is challenging.
We had never stayed at a Comfort Inn anywhere prior to this one but our experience made it likely we will try them again.
As someone astutely pointed out, accommodation anywhere near Sequoia Park (let alone in the park) is difficult to come by. Three Rivers is only 6 miles from the park so the location is quite good considering.
Maybe we were lucky but the room we had was quiet and comfortable on the far end of the 2 story building. Although there is no elevator and it can be a challenge hauling luggage up stairs, we prefer to have no one "walking on our heads".
The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. For Covid times, the "grab and go" breakfast offered more than usual compared to, say, Holiday Inn Express and Home 2 Suites: sausage and egg biscuits, yogurt, burritos, fresh fruit.
Our room was clean and comfortable. There was an issue with a squealing toilet but it was promptly fixed.

Close proximity to Sequoia National Park. Rooms were spacious and clean. The grounds were well-kept and it was a quiet stay. It is a no-frills hotel stay so anyone expecting a resort experience should prob lower their standards or go elsewhere. We were tickled to pieces to find a clean, comfortable bed, a nice smelling room with heat and cable. Continental breakfast is what you’d expect but the staff did a great job of keeping things restocked as there were a lot of people enjoying the offerings.

This was the worst stay ever. My husband and I were celebrating our 29th anniversary and decided to stay at the hotel.

From the moment we checked in there was problem after problem.

1. My debit card was not accepted and had to have an extra hold put on it until we checked out and we were assured that my account would be credited at that time.

8:00 pm day of check out our card still hasn't been credited.

2. I reserved a jacuzzi room and when we were given our keys to the room there was no jacuzzi there.

We were given a jacuzzi room at no additional charge. Umm ok since that is what I reserved to begin with.

When I asked about signing up for the rewards program the manager in charge told me she could not do it. She didn't know how and we would have to wait for the other associate to get back from lunch.

That never happened.

This morning I went to take a shower where I found hair and some other slimy unidentified substance in the drain. I took a picture and went to the front desk.
There wasn't ab employee there I rang the bell several times to no avail.
I had to find the breakfast associate to ask for the front desk employee. She asked if she could help so I showed her the picture and she immediately contacted the housekeeping supervisor. The associate showed her the picture and I was told they would send someone to clean it. I asked to speak to the manager and was told there wasn't anyone there that could assist me except housekeeping supervisor and she turned around and walked away. While I was emailing the property a maid showed up said what did I need I told her. She went into the bathroom with her towel and spray and immediately came out saying she had taken care of it.
When I finished my email I went to take my shower and the hair was gone but the substance was still stuck in the cracks of the metal drain.
My visit was a total disaster and ruined due to the fact that the employees are not being trained appropriately.
After that we went to check out and again I was assured that my card would be immediately credited upon check out.
It has still not been corrected. No response from management No apologies from employees.

My advice is to NEVER stay there.

Honestly, our room was very clean...I felt comfortable that we were safe, but we are not in any high-risk categories. There were a LOT of people in the hotel and in the area...and the guests and general public there are not adhering to the mask guidelines consistently. I’d say about 50% of the people I saw had masks on. If you’re worried at all about someone being high risk and potentially catching Covid-19, I’d say avoid travel for now (I’m a retired nurse).

Is the pool open year round? If not, when is it open for the season?
Answer from TDHanford

The Swimming Pools in Three Rivers are still cold this time of year with temps still to chilly to warm up the pool. The pool is open from May to October. Which is normal for this area. June and July are warmer months and the temp's are in the 80's and the pool warmer to get into. Hope you enjoy your stay. Wife and I always enjoy it there and Giant Redwoods are majestic. Also there is a Cave you can go to called Crystal Caves. Bring a coat and good shoes for the hike back to the Cave. It's well worth the guided tour and to see. Stop by the Gateway for great dinning experience. Eat along the Kings River on a Patio. Great Food and Glen will take good care of you. Hope this helps in you planning.

Comfort Inn & Suites Sequoia Kings Canyon is in the valley and not in the park. Access to main attractions depends on road conditions, Btw, I tried to edit/update my prior posting but couldn't. This is really a very nice place to stay. When we were there it was clean, quiet and well maintained. Staff is professional and very friendly. Also, a very nice breakfast bar. We will definitely stay there again and can highly recommend.
