Detailed Reviews
This campground is incredibly clean. The facilities are well maintained. The trees in sites 18, 19, and 20 were cut back so there is little shade in those three sites now. All sites are really close to each other with little privacy.
I was very impressed with how clean and well kept the showers and bathrooms are. There is also plenty of hot water in the showers, and they are free, so that was very nice.
The owners/managers, Dave and his wife were super friendly and did their best to accommodate all of our requests.
The wifi is VERY strong, absolutely no cell signal.
The Kaweah river passes right by the campground, but because of low water levels it was really muddy. That made swimming undesirable. But you could swim if you wanted.
This campground also runs its own white water rafting service, which was a hoot! Definitely an activity you must partake.
An entrance to Sequoia National Forest is 7 miles up the road. It was very convenient, so many sites to see in that forest.
We would happily come and stay again.

I can only speak and write about our stay in the cabin, at first arrival I was put off because it's connected to cabin # 2, and looked really small. It's actually bigger inside then it looks, and has two very comfortable queen beds to stretch and get a good nights sleep in. Plus, bonus a/c, it was hot there in August when we went. Stayed 4 nights as we decided to extend a day and the cabin was available.. YEAH !!!!
Deonna was super friendly with the reservation, and even nicer in person.
I would have given a much higher rating except for 3 things. The stove is older than I am, it's hard to light, and really should be replaced for safety. The shower while small, was still large enough for even a big guy like me, but the water pressure really sucked.
Outside the kitchen window is a gray water discharge, it leaks smelly water right next to the cabin, it's not nice...Make those fixes, and I'd go way up on the rating.
What was nice was the staff, location, size of the fridge, and bonus wild turkeys seen daily walking thru the yard and down the street, way cool...
In any case, overlooking those three things, we don't want a perfectly modern cabin, we like Glamping, we are "Old School" , and if we could, we would, enjoy another stay there..

When we first drove in, I was disappointed! Lots of trucks and equipment and run down trailers. The owner was very nice and accommodating. We had made reservations for three nights but ending up liking the place that we stayed another night. We were here with our motor home and with friends that had theirs. Our spot was great! We had partial hook ups with water and electricity. There is river a and a little lake down below. It was very charming. We walked down daily with our dog and sat at one of the benches enjoying the view. The people living there are so friendly and polite. There is a bakery across the street and this park is close to Saqioa.
The bathrooms/showers, even though we had no need or them, were clean and freshly done.
The only negative I have to say about this place is the equipment all over the place. If the owner would store it in one place that would make it so much better looking. Having said that, don't negate this place because of it. It is charming and rustic and very quite. We enjoyed ourselves and would come back

Poor customer service, very discriminatory, rude and outright hostile.
This is our second time camping at the HIDEAWAY. Our first visit was a good experience. This last time was awful. Sone have had great experiences at this RV park, ours was significantly discriminated at based on appearance or perceived class. I'm Hispanic and never have I ever experience something like this before by anyone rude and outright hostile and disrespectful. It all started because we have family members stop by and joined us for a couple of hours. We offer to pay a spot even though they were not staying the night. She drove in her golf cart like literally like 5 times asking when they were leaving. We had no loud music, bit being loud just enjoying the out doors. Keep in mind we spoke to the owner/manager and she was ok with it. We offer to pay a night she said"" it's not about the money"". She was telling us indirectly she wanted us to leave. So we'll decide to leave even though we were paid for the weekend. We left stop by the office to let them know we were leaving and we had just turned on the fire common courtesy. The lady was rude my husband asked what was the problem could not give us a answer. We asked her we were willing to pay a night she said no tent camping and due to COVID there were a lot of people in one site. I asked her the. Why does the other camp site has a tent up and they have. More than 10 people i their site she did know what to say. She basically said the the problem was the color of our skin. We thanked her and left. My other family members were behind us all of a sudden a old bald man started yelling and cursing at my sister in law who was behind us. He was telling her we were the issue it's people like us he stated. I just think that it's sad that adults act like children. I always thought my kids that it does not matter what the color of your skin is on the outside we are all the same inside. Something needs to happen this is not right. I will Definitely be making phone calls

Arrived to this trailer park after a few you tube videos I saw that made it look like a beautiful place to visit and swim and when we arrived it was a trailer park with no shade a yucky murky pond that you wouldn't even want your dog in. Roaches speeding for your feet at night while waiting to use restroom. The restroom where disgusting. Bring bleach spray disenfectants. It was always windy a but so the dirt would pick plus it's not even really private your up next to everyone. Boy it was hot too. I left the second day. What the hell was I thinking. If you like trailer trash locations and just want to park your TV then this is your spot. Nothing to do. Kids where miserable. Please do your reviews

We have tent camped here for two years and will continue to do so. We love the water hole and the beach area. I Personally love how the staff drives around to check on everyone as well as enforcing rules. If you don’t like the rules then don’t camp there (easy fix). Their rules make for a safe enjoyable experience. I’m glad they have a limit for bodies on a campsite and don’t allow day use. Thank you for being a family place we can escape to when needed.

We have stayed in the cabins many times, they are old but clean, I think that makes them quaint. We have also stayed in our Teardrop trailer at this place and it was very quiet. The river is just a short walk from the cabins and is great for small kids because this aera of the river is very calm.
The owner is a very nice guy and so is his wife. We will definitely be going back.

We stayed at the Three Rivers Hideaway on a recent RV trip through California. We decided to stay at this property because of it's proximity to Sequoia National Park, which is around five miles from the entrance, and because of the great pictures and description on their website. The distance to the park was perfect, but the campground was far from nice.
When we arrived, the campground looked nothing like the website portrayed it to be. In fact, we thought we were at the wrong campground because the pictures did not look like they did on the website.
When we parked our RV, we walked into the office to check in, and there was no one present to receive us. In fact, the office door was left wide open. We waited for 15 minutes, talking to others inside the park, talking to maids, talking to people on bicycles riding through the area, and we could not locate the manager. We even called the office phone and the managers cell phone, but no one answered. Finally, one of the maids went into the office and began looking for the reservation book. We had made reservations several months ahead but nothing could be found. After several minutes with the maid, the manager finally pulled up. He began looking through his reservation book, and couldn't find the reservation, but asked us how many nights we wanted to stay and directed us to an open slot.
The campground was much smaller than most, and it was very dated. Many of the campers in the campground were people who lived there. It look liked an old trailer park rather than an RV resort. The roads around the campground were mainly gravel and very narrow, especially for longer RVs.
Upon hooking up, we noticed that the power source was only 30 amps, rather than the standard 50. This caused the power in our RV to short out frequently. It was frustrating to have to keep resetting our power supply.
The owner told us about a beautiful river that ran behind the park, but when we walked down there we found a pool of stagnated water and a muddy beach.
Some of those traveling with us decided to stay in the cabins on site. These small cabin units were up near the main road. The rooms appeared to be clean until we went to the bathroom. After the shower ran for five minutes, water was ankle deep. After lifting up the shower mat, I found a wad of hair the size of a softball clogging the drain. This was one of the dirtiest showers I've ever seen.
We left the Three Rivers Hideaway early the next morning, completely shocked by how much different the website made this place look compared to what was really there. In all honesty, this place became a joke for us on the remainder of the trip. While the proximity to Sequoia national Park was excellent, this campground was very poor. Stay at your own risk!

Last year Labor Day 2009 we rented three cabins for our extended group. Two of the cabins were ready for occupancy, but the third cabin next to the manager's campsite was still occupied and wasn't ready until after 1pm. It turns out the occupants were close friends of the management. This year in May 2010 we reserved all three cabins again and were told just two weeks prior to Labor Day that there was a conflict in cabin rentals and only two were available. During our stay we came to find out, that the same cabin was in use by the management's friends again! It would be nice if your management would not be so selfish and inconsiderate putting their own pleasure before the needs of the business!

+1
We went Friday through Sunday. Our 10 person tent fit in the space along with a canopy ( bring one it’s hot) there are tress but it’s still hot. The river fed swim hole was beautiful and perfect for kids with a life jacket. If your feeling adventurous follow the river. Fire pit and table on sites. Thank goodness they sold ice! The staff was wonderful and checked on us often. Definitely coming back! Thank you hideaway for providing my family with a safe fun camping trip.

I guess I’ll answer my own question...small! There are varying size sites but generally you are going to be hard pressed to fit two tents and a car. Fire pits are no more than 20 feet between sites.
There are several sites there that are hybrid RV/Car/tent sites. I'm sure that if you call and reserve with notice The Hideaway could likely accommodate you.
