Detailed Reviews
As part of this complex, you have the Annex which is a delightful unit off by itself. It offers a King bed and it is nicely appointed with plenty of amenities. Diana will see that you are well attended to with this excellent property. You’re also likely to be treated to some wildlife during your stay, including deer, quail, woodpeckers, and turkeys. Our visit was accompanied with 100 degree temperatures so the AC was a must and it proved up to the task. Lodging in Three Rivers is limited and The Annex is a jewel.

We are only sorry we weren't there longer. Literally have the creek out our door. The place was immaculate, and well appointed. We had access to a community kitchen, but also our own gas grill. Only 6 miles from Sequoia National Park. Owners are on site, and very friendly. Highly recommend.

We stayed in the Annex for two nights and wanted to extend our stay for an extra two nights but understandably the room was booked. We had the comforts of home and more importantly, Larry and Diana were the most gracious hosts. We had a car accident in Sequoia National Park which left us without any transportation. Larry and Diana picked up a pizza for us that night and the next day drove us to Visalia to the rental car agency! They made our somewhat difficult experience into a positive one. Thank you!

We stayed in the “Sequoia Charm”, an upstairs suite in a two-suite building, facing the Kaweah River. The “rustic” décor was interesting; someone has a sense of humor! There was a king-size bed but only a shower. There was very effective air-conditioning, which was necessary because of temperatures in the 90’s even after Labor Day. The ceiling fans were also effective. There was a small fridge, a microwave, and a coffee-maker. There was a big TV, which we did not watch. On the deck below was an open-air kitchenette having a full-sized fridge and a barbecue.
It was very quiet at night. There is lots of parking space, some of it paved. There is a land-line telephone, which is useful because there is no cell-phone signal here in Three Rivers. The WiFi is strong. The owners were unobtrusive.
The property goes down to the nearby river. There’s a swimming-hole there with cool water, but be careful of the slippery boulders underwater. There are tables and chairs near the river. There is good birdwatching there too.
Various food options are nearby in Three Rivers, including a supermarket. There were two gas stations operating just after Labor Day.
We would return here if back in Three Rivers. We make our usual disclaimer with 5-star reviews, that we have no personal or financial involvement in this place.

We stayed in the Annex suite because the other rooms were booked out, it was a 5 minute walk to the river which was just gorgeous. We took a bottle of champagne and sat on rock with our feet in the water.
We enjoyed the firepit and cooked ribs on the bbq which were mouth watering. Would highly recommend staying here, the suite has everything you could think of.

Room Tip: I would prefer a room on the river, but the Annexe is more private anyway.

NOTE: This is not intended to be a negative review in anyway. Just a bit more information that would have been helpful to us.
We recently stayed at the River Jewel in the Annex and the place was fantastic. Everything is wonderful and in great shape. The owners have thought of EVERYTHING and it's was a wonderful place to stay during our vacation. The one thing we wish we would have known was how far away the Annex is from the river. While the owner did tell us it was off the river, we were not told it was approximately an 8 -10 minute walk away. It is in another building on a different piece of property up near the road. While there is access to the river and all the wonderful little sitting areas down along the river even for those staying in the Annex it really isn't the same as those who are lucky enough to be in the River Suites. So, a note for the owner would be to ensure the renters know in more detail what they are getting with the Annex and to consider charging a bit less for the nightly rate. In the elements it's just not feasible to cart your belongings down to the river to enjoy your time there when it's so far away from the Annex.

We stayed at The River Jewel Suites for 3 nights in late September. We stayed in the upstairs loft suite. It was so neatly decorated. Very Whimsical. The grounds were beautiful and they had all sorts of different sitting "stations" down by the river. You could even sit on the rocks in the river. At night we would sleep with the windows open and you could hear the beautiful sounds of the river flowing. Had the best night's sleep. We went out on the deck in the middle of the night and the stars were so big and bright and seemed like you could reach out and touch them. Very magical!!!! Diana and Larry were great hosts. They had fresh fruit and granola bars for you. There was a great restaurant, We Three Bakery, right across the street from their property where we ate breakfast every day. It is very close to the entrance of Sequoia National Park where we had 2 enjoyable days exploring. We even saw 4 bears. For dinner we ate at Sierra Subs and Salads (very yummy and fresh salads and subs) and we also ate at Ol Buckaroo which was a fancy food truck. We had sliders and sweet potato fries which were very delicious. They also had beer and wine.

This vacation home is a lovely surprise; it's well decorated, well built, very clean and very comfortable. It was our first visit to the national park and all accommodation within the park was fully booked. This upper level spacious apartment has a nice balcony overlooking the river, provided a great base to the park as it's located only minutes away from the park entrance. Walking along the river and watching the stars at night from the open balcony were a bonus. We stayed 2 nights and wished we stayed longer. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for three nights during our California road trip. It is a beautiful, idyllic, and relaxing place, and there is a deficiency in the dictionary of superlatives to describe it adequately. The steady rush of the adjacent Kaweah river is remarkably calming. We had a great view from the upstairs lodge. The standard of decor and furniture is very high, with a few quirky touches which put a smile on your face. A parking meter in the toilet, and "Poison Gas" warning sign on the door to name two. If you plan to visit the area, then this is THE place to stay.

We loved this property and am so glad we ended our trip here. But people should know that the road construction in Sequoia is something you have to deal with if you stay in Three Rivers. It makes the trip into the heart of the park about an hour and 15 minutes, IF you time it just right. Be sure to check into this and plan accordingly. That being said, The River Jewel is close to perfect. We stayed in the Kaweah Suite, which is on the ground floor. Diana or Larry will tour you around the property, which is 3 beautiful acres right on the river. The sound of the river is lovely and there are sitting areas, a hammock, gorgeous rocks you can walk out on and chairs right in the river for just cooling your feet. It was VERY hot in September, over 100 degrees in the afternoon, but much cooler in Sequoia. In the evening, however it cools off into the 60's and we sat outside, listening to the river, enjoying our excellent food from Sierra Subs, and watching a beautiful sunset with the hummingbirds as company.
The suite itself is lovely, looks brand new, lots of room. There is TV, telephone, everything you need other than an ironing board and iron. The small kitchen area has a sink, small refrigerator, microwave, and a coffee maker with Starbucks coffee provided. More nice touches are fresh fruit, 4 bottles of water, paper towels, dish soap, etc. There are dishes, utensils, wine glasses provided as well. There are even beach towels for river swimming. I really could have stayed a week in this lovely place. What a nice break from crowds and noise!

Greetings,
Thank you for your inquiry. As of today we do still have availability for the dates requested. Please call us at (559) 799-8201 if you have any questions or for more information.
Best,
Diana
Greetings! Our Sequoia Charm Suite( upstairs) is more spacious and has the best view of the river.
Diana, thank you so much for your prompt response! Given our time difference, my message probably reached you quite early. Hope that wasn't an inconvenience. I would like to reserve one of the suites for July 29, 2015 through Sunday, August 2, 2015. Trust me when I tell you we are definitely not honeymooners! We are both seniors. I will leave the choice in your capable hands as to what accommodations you think will suit us best. There are no disability issues and we do not need handicapped accessible features. (or at least not this year!) :) Please let me know what you need in order to confirm these dates. If you have a direct email address, please send it along so I can communicate directly with you if needed. Thank you so much again. I'm familiar with the area and I know my friend will be so glad we put this on her bucket list. if you have any suggestions for us regarding travel tips, they would be welcomed. Our last trip was to Alaska a few years ago. Wonderful experience. Look forward to hearing from you. Ruth Muir, Wilmington, North Carolina
