Detailed Reviews
We liked the location of Bellevue Guesthouse, about 2 miles from the entrance of the Sequoia NP. We enjoyed all this spectacular views and the sound of the running river. After traveling some time, we appreciated the silence and privacy, because no other guests were around us. As we understood, they host only one family at the same time. The service was great and the offered breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The room are very comfortable and clean. WiFi works good too.
Of course, we are recommending Bellevue Guesthouse to other guests.

After driving across from Las Vegas it was so nice to get into the mountains and arrive at the quiet and peaceful Bellevue Guesthouse, sit on the balcony, relax with a cup of tea and look at the amazing view of Moro Rock and Sequoia National Park, and then a hummingbird flew up to the tree next to us! Eva and Ozzie are very friendly and helpful hosts with lots of suggestions of thngs to do, we visited Exeter to see the wall murals, Woodlake to see the Arboretum ( and more hummingbirds) Kaweah Post Office - the oldest and smallest still operating post office in the USA, the Art day in Three Rivers. Eva's breakfasts were delicious with something different each day and wonderful fresh fruit. Breakfast was also the time the mother black bear and her cub came looking for acorns. Upstairs we had the bedrooms, lounge and bathroom to ourselves and could wake up to the amazing view of the park. We stayed for a week, and spent most days in Sequoia NP. We saw squirrels, deer, bears and the amazing trees. Some places can be crowded but if you take the walk trails there is no-one about except you and the trees. The best walks for us were Moro Rock, General Sherman Tree and Congress Loop, Crescent Meadow and Big Trees Trails but there are lots more. After all our walking and driving though the park we would stop in Three Rivers to get our dinner then come back and sit on the balcony of Bellevue Guesthouse and watch the sunset.

My family and I stayed at Bellevue Guesthouse for 2 nights in November, 2012. The bottom line: it was simply a great comfortable place to stay. Because we wanted to stay at somewhere very close to the National Park, we looked into all reviews posted at many websites including Tripadvisor and concluded this would be the best place for us this time. We knew our conclusion was right from the beginning since both Eva and Ozzie were very friendly and helpful for us to have a fruitful time during our stay. Eva's yummy breakfast was wonderful and we were all impressed as well! We would like to come back here if we had a chance.

Wonderful.......the only word I can use to describe our 2 nights with Ozzy & Eva at their beautiful "Residence Bellevue". The spectacular surroundings were matched only by our hosts good humour, charm and exquisite attention to detail. The accommodation is immensely comfortable & homely with amazing views of "Moro Rock" and the "Kaweah"river valley. The "continental" breakfast completely understates and sets ones day up perfectly......a particular thank you to Eva!!! Ozzy's knowledge and advice on the surrounding area was invaluable and a testament to his & Eva's obvious love of Sequoia. Staying at "residence Bellevue" was an absolute pleasure and has left all three of us with a yearning to return. Ozzy & Eva....we salute you!!! Ronan, Hazel & Dave.

Relaxing, romantic and peaceful
Relaxing, romantic and peaceful, that was the experience during our stay at Bellevue Guesthouse. We also enjoyed all the wonderful views surrounded by unspoiled nature, far from other people.
The location is spectacular; the rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. The super comfortable beds and the running rivers sound support a good sleep.
The breakfast is a treat and the innkeepers are very experienced, caring and helpful. Free WiFi is also available.
We would like to stay again at Bellevue Guesthouse and we do recommend it to others.

Having read the other reviews, I am slighly baffled. Yes, the hosts were hospitable and the breakfasts were great. The spot is beautiful although at the end of a long and twisty gravel road; not great to drive in the dark. But my kids were very unconfortable in the place thanks to the artwork. One bedroom was filled with pictures of naked women; the second had two books on a sexual theme, prominently displayed. The communal room had a fairly graphic sculpture. This might be fine for honeymooners but not for a family stay. This is a pricey b&b - we paid $300 a night - and my family couldn't wait to get away.

Response from BellevueGuesthouse, Owner at Residence Bellevue Guesthouse
Responded 1 Sept 2013
Hi Less, Sorry learning from you after you left, that you and your family has not been comfortable during your stay with us. Wondering why you did not tell us about your discomfort during your stay. We are asking our guest every day if everything is comfortable. We could have removed the pictures and the sculpture etc, no problem for us. By the way, the ”fairly graphic sculpture” is a very rare copy of Rodin’s art, displayed in the famous Rodin Museum in Paris.

Ozzie & Eva welcomed us to Bellevue when we arrived. Our stay was so great. The quarters were cozy & clean. Breakfast was s rumptious. Our hosts were most helpful with what to do. Our favorite part of our time there was happy hour on the deck with gorgeous views of the mountains, Morro Rock & the river in the valley below. We loved our stay here.

We stayed 2 nights and should have stayed longer. Ozzy and Eva are great hosts and gives important information concerning Sequia National park. Thanks to this info, we didn't miss Moro Rock, an awesome huge rock with perfect view of the Sierras. Delicious breakfast are served while hummingbirds swirl around. Very clean and romantic rooms with great views of the mountains.

Eva & Ozzy were very friendly , hospitable & welcoming and made us feel at ease and we felt we were not intruding in their home. The views from the house and rooms were scenic & relaxing and the wildlife an added bonus. The beds were comfortable and the rooms cozy. Eva's breakfast was a delight and it varied every day we were there. It set us up for the day's touring. Thoroughly recommend Bellevue if visiting Sequoia or Three Rivers.

Located in a breathtaking environment, Residence Bellevue is the perfect venue for some rest and relaxation. Ozzy and Eva are great hosts and they attend to your every need.
There is a sauna and a jacuzzi, a fireplace and the wooden deck with an awesome view. We also liked that it is just at the entrance of the Sequoia National Park. We warmly recommend Residence Bellevue.
We only regret our stay was too short.
