We drove to Boston 10 hours to see a concert in Lynn, MA without a room booked. We scrambled to find a place to stay that was not $400/night. We came across this Motor Inn at a great rate. When I normally think of a Motor Inn I think 1970’s decor. This place is updated with bright rooms. We stayed two nights and asked the gentleman at the front desk (he runs the place) questions about how to get here or there and places to eat, etc. He was super nice and helpful, above and beyond to make sure we had all we needed. We stayed their out of desperation, but if we ever go back to the Boston area it will be our destination.
Plane delays got us to Boston late and exhausted. Airport and city hotels were charging $800+. Trip Advisor led us to Chisholm’s and they deserve a recent review. Front desk was courteous, room was recently redone and very clean. Bed was comfy and room was quiet despite nearby highway. Coffee in lobby, but lots of nearby options. Well-kept grounds and a good relative value at under $150. Yes, the towels are tiny and a bit rough- but my husband loves that. Bring your own shampoo! We would definitely stay again.
Clean room and comfortable enough stay. But, very, very basic; just what you would expect from this type of accommodation. Strange smell in room, possible from redecoration. Towels in bathroom very thin!
Staff was extremely rude. Didn't even ask how many people were staying in room. Than when we entered room there was only one bed. Went back and the man at desk said he would charge more for another bed. The room looked and smelled like my Grandma's old basement. If you can't find another reasonable motel near by I would suggest sleeping in your car before you waste your money here.
Firstable he told us it costs 165$ for a night then when the second person came he told him its 140$ .. then the room smelled really bed and it felt like someones biting you when you're laying on the bad.. also the wifi was horrible.. we told him twice to change a room .. he told us it's impossible ... while we we're talking to him at the office he called someone and talked in his language... if you want to stay in a hotel americal best value inn is the best in a good price of 65$ and it's a lot better.. at all cleaner..has a f rd idge microwave tv good wifi and a person that cleans! at all chisholms hotel, it is horrible!!
Everything was nearly perfect when we stayed here. We traveled from Phoenix, Arizona for week with my wife. The place was clean, affordable and the cozy. We will stay there again. However I do recommend them to provide more pillows on the bed.
I recently took a trip for a nephews graduation and found this little gem in Saugus. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The rooms were very clean and felt like I was in my own bedroom. Very spacious and modern. After watching about the Boston Bombings we were hesitant on flying down...but the owners/managers made us feel like home. They helped us on how to find our way around Boston. Gave us pointers and everything. I will def. be staying at this place next time I come...and i will come back!!! THANK YOU!!!!
Great place to crash. We were in town to conduct some business and a friend showed us this place. The beds were very comfy and the rooms were very clean. My wife needed extra towels and the staff brought them ASAP! TV's were old, they should upgrade! The lady in the morning was very kind. I recommend staying here. We surely will on our next trip.
I could not believe it when I saw how disgusting the room. It was also very upsetting that it cost $100 for a single night for a filthy motel room with a defective air conditioner, ripped furniture and a run down look. I h to stay since it was late and I was very tired and could not drive any more. Do not stay there. You will be very disappointed. For that price there are many nicer HOTELS in the same price range.
An early winter snowstorm drove me into this motel. Front desk reception was cold and unfriendly. The room was small and drafty, but its heater made it warm enough when set high. Amenities were a combo bath/shower, a TV, a DVD player. All surfaces and linens appeared clean. Room was quiet despite proximity to US 1. Parking lot was plowed and walks cleared during the snowstorm. I least liked the high one-night cost of a single room so lacking in amenities. I most liked the convenient location and the signs of earnest efforts to maintain the grounds and motel buildings. If you're OK with true motels, it's not a bad choice.
