Great host! They give you a lot of idea for where to go and places to see. This hotel is walking distance from the Plaza so if you have a little down time before you want to go back to the hotel, you can walk around the town. They also offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Travelling with a fellow friend from the UK on a trans America driving holiday we spent 3 nights at Inn of the Governors immediately after Easter. We have stayed at some dozen hotels thus far on our trip and this centrally located, independently owned and managed hotel is the best by a margin in terms of general ambiance and value...

Stayed here for two nights in early April; wanted a good central location to explore old Santa Fe on foot--I could not have chosen a better location! Literally two minutes walking to the Plaza and Palace of the Governors. It's an interesting hotel. I suspect it started as a modest motel in the heyday of Route 66. It still has...

Our family spent 3 nights @ the Inn of the Governors in early April. The Inn's proximity to the Plaza (about 2 blocks) was perfect. There are several room types -- we "splurged" & selected the deluxe room. It was nice to have access to the outdoor terrace during the warmth of the day & use of our fireplace during...

The Inn is in a great location which allows you to walk to most places. It is just about one hour from Albuquerque Airport. A little more than one hour to Ghost Ranch. The Inn is centrally located to other national parks, Ghost Ranch and Jemez. Besides location, the Inn offers a free breakfast starting at 6:30 am. Hot food,...

Dear HarryL, Thank you for endorsing the Inn and Del Charro! It's wonderful to read that Del Charro was good enough to keep you from visiting other great Santa Fe establishments for lunch. I also very much appreciate knowing that your room was clean and comfortable and that our service was top notch. We hope your travels bring you back...

The staff at the Inn of the Governors was fantastic. They greeted you each time you entered the lobby and were the most helpful I have seen for a long time. I particularly liked the afternoon tea from 4-5 which was held around the fireplace in the entry lobby. I selected this hotel for price and location and would return...

My 15 year old and I stayed here while I was at a conference at a nearby hotel. We were so glad we stayed her. Our room, on the third floor looking out towards the street was quiet and recently redocorated, with all the amenities we needed. The brunch was generous, and the late afternoon sherry/cookie hour was a nice...

Inn of the Governors was in a great location (2 blocks from the plaza and within walking distance of many attractions). Both check in and checkout were quick and easy. Our room was clean and spacious. The bed and the pillows were very comfortable and the room had good lighting. The bath towels were thick and absorbent and shampoo, conditioner,...

The price seemed fair with advance booking but the real value was realized with a great location for walking to the Plaza and other locations, parking, an excellent breakfast buffet that changed from day to day, and the afternoon surprise. Sherry and cookies were served in the lobby each afternoon by the hotel manager in a quiet and welcoming manner.
