I was at a conference and had a small room which I found very pleasant. Beautiful entrance hall without music - quite and classy. If I had wanted to use the desk and TV it would not have been convenient as their placement was awkward and the desk was small. But for my needs - a simple, welcoming place to...

Hello lalita59, we appreciate your review and look forward to welcoming you back for another nice stay during your next trip to the States! Our traditional rooms are well-appointed for single travelers and couples, and I'm glad we could provide a quiet getaway from the busy streets of Santa Fe and your conference. Feel free to inquire about a deluxe...

We REALLY wanted to stay at the St. Francis because we knew it had been refurbished and because the family of my husband has a legacy with this hotel dating from the 1920's when the place was called the De Vargas Hotel. We originally booked for 4 or 5 nights but after the first night, we asked for our money...

lahabib452, thank you for trying out our historic Hotel St Francis. Our hotel is the oldest hotel building in Santa Fe which means we could not change room configurations during the recent 2008 remodel. Our interior designers kept the hotel visually calm and "sparse" on purpose, and I apologize if you did not like the look or feel of the...

I understand this began as a commercial hotel so expect the rooms to be on the small side, though I have to say it maybe the smallest room I've stayed in. The bed was comfortable and the shower perfectly fine. When we stayed the weather was unseasonably warm and the a/c had been turned off for the season. But the...

The building is full of history, and we read the reviews and were prepared with the size of the room. We had a King room, and it was fine for a short stay. We went to the Secreto Bar for happy hour, and one young woman was running the place singlehandedly, until about 5. The place was packed, and she...

First and foremost, it is located in a great spot. Also they were running a special on the rate for MLK weekend, which is hard to come by! But do not disregard the other reviews which say the rooms are very very small. Hotel staff was very good. The bar is a real asset as well as the restaurant which...

Dear TXBrian, thanks for coming to stay with us! We're glad to know you got a great deal and also enjoyed the stay. It sounds like you "did it right"; Tabla is an amazing restaurant, and our location and staff are excellent. Personally I really liked this Hotel. There are plenty of places to choose from in Santa Fe, but I've found only the expensive 5 star resorts will truly satisfy everyone. The mid-level 3 and 4 star really vary in Santa Fe. So try to really understand what you like, and what you don't like before you book. Research is key....

This hotel photographs very well and looks super on the website. We were disappointed. Our room was stupidly small, the door whacked into the bedside table every time we opened it. The front desk guy was ill equipped for his duties. He didn't know that they had maps available and said more than once when queried about things in town.."you...

We stayed in a deluxe king room so we did not have the "too small" issues other reviewers had. While the room was not huge and the bathroom compact, it was all acceptable and charming. I was given a standard room with a queen bed on the third floor in which the floor is scuffed wood like you would see in an old schoolhouse and it creaked noisily. The TV is set in a cabinet with doors on the wall perpendicular to the bed so there is no way to sit in bed and watch...
