Our family stayed 4 nights at the Hotel Santa Fe. The hotel is within walking distance of the Santa Fe Plaza, the New Mexico History Museum, the Palace of the Governors, the Capitol and plenty of restaurants. We also walked to the Farmer’s Market at the Railyard shopping complex. For the first day, we left our car in the hotel’s parking lot (free parking!). Hotel Santa Fe also has easy access to the state highway so you can explore areas outside of the city. Besides being super convenient, it has that classic Santa Fe style to wit: burnt orange adobe exterior and a charming lobby with timber beams and Native American art. They also have a small pool. Our room, which was a junior suite, had a small lanai and windows that you COULD open. Yes! While it was a little tight, our room was clean, comfortable and internally quiet. There was some street noise with the windows open, however, by 10 PM this dissipated and the room was externally quiet too. For what it is worth, their bath towels are the best I have ever used at a hotel. Hotel Santa Fe’s front desk staff was friendly, professional and helpful. Well, nobody’s perfect: our dinner in the hotel restaurant was rather lackluster. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Santa Fe and would come back again.

We came to the Hotel in early June. I had read on-line that they were requiring masks inside the Hotel for everyone. I find out the first night, the Guv allowed no masks for people vaccinated. Yea, people can be TRUSTED! It was not stated at all on the WEBSITE before we came! We left early because the A/C was not working properly. But, what bothered me more was people not wearing masks inside. And, you wonder why the COVID has spiked so much there in NM? DUH? I mentioned to Penpa, who I liked, that I felt duped coming and being SAFE! I also expected a contact by Paul Margetson. I was told he'd be contacting me. Two Months Later, NO Contact. Won't Come Back!

My wife and I celebrated our 40th anniversary by planning a weekend in Santa Fe. We stayed at the Hotel Santa Fe for two nights. It was better than I could have imagined. Outstanding. The staff is very courteous and friendly. There is a free shuttle that will take you to the plaza and pick you up when you are ready to return. The pool was very nice and relaxing. We booked a couple’s massage at the hotel Spa. It was just heavenly. We stayed in room 339, which is a King Suite and had a balcony overlooking the pool. It was clean and laid out very nicely. The bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend staying at the HOTEL SANTA FE for a fabulous and relaxing stay.

At check-in we were expectedly told we would be charged a “resort fee” of $50 per day: $12 / day for WiFi and parking, plus $38 for any other hotel services. Staff said $38 / day would be refunded if we didn’t use any other services. Under the guise of Covid precautions, there was no cleaning service; guests had to go to the desk to get clean towels, toilet paper, tissues, etc. Maintenance seemed deferred. The sink basin was cracked. The window blinds were hung poorly, letting in daylight. Couch slipcovers were threadbare. Staff was attentive and helpful. The shuttle service was frequent and the drivers knowledgeable and helpful.

Room Tip: The restaurant menu is limited but very good. Eating with the glass doors wide open is wonderful.

We made a little road trip to Santa Fe, NM (from Oklahoma City) for two nights and stayed at this quaint Native American-owned hotel. Loved the look of the hotel grounds - adobe style building surrounded by flowers, plants, and trees. Inside the hotel and our room seemed a bit worn out/showing age, but overall everything was clean and the Native American/Southwestern style décor and atmosphere were very nice. I wish they used the fireplace in the lounge area especially in the evening. It would’ve created even better ambience... Staff at the front desk were polite. The room and bathroom were small but functioned well enough for our needs. And having a balcony was nice! It was small but large enough for two of us to enjoy just sitting and sipping wine. There was no coffee maker in the room but they set up a coffee station in the lobby and the second floor. It was nice set up but it was inconvenient for us since we like to have our first cup in our PJ’s before we even take a shower…. The swimming pool was also nice and relaxing. Had a tasty chilled cocktail by the pool and the server was very sweet and helpful. The hotel was in a good location, just a short walk to the Historic downtown area. We walked everywhere we wanted to go. (They also have a free shuttle service within 1 mile.) Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Hotel Santa Fe. Next time we’d like to stay at the Hacienda side of the hotel. It looks more luxurious than the hotel side.
