We spent 2 nights at the El Rey a couple of weeks ago and we were very pleased with the stay. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are nice and clean. My only complaint is that our room was not cleaned the second day we were there. We could have called. I never found out if there was a problem....

I was very impressed with the reception area and the gardens in this place. Very charming with a lot of character. The room not so much. Very small with a lot of potential with the adobe walls and beams in the ceiling. However the furnishings and bed spread and pillows on the bead look very old and drab. The bathroom...

This motel was a welcoming lovely place to stay. The proximity to The Pantry restaurant is an absolute bonus. $5 voucher provided towards a breakfast meal. The desk staff were helpful and the grounds very interesting to walk around. I would recommend it.

This is a quaint little motel that has been updated. It takes you back to days of old. Huge open air hot tub is a must. Great personnel provided us with everything we needed. No breakfast at the motel, but they give you vouchers for a restaurant (the Pantry) a half block away that had awesome food! Close to the...

We have stayed at the El Rey before and enjoyed it both times. The location is good and although the Cerrilos Road seems close, we were never bothered by noise. The interiors of the rooms is a bit different but pleasant and comfortable. There is no restaurant but vouchers for the Pantry a walk away are well worth while for...

The room was quite large and well-maintained. However, the bathroom facilities do need updating. The cost of the room was too high relative to amenities. The decor was unique--tile art built into the wall, black and white floor tile in the bathroom, a copper light fixture, and unusual monkey desk.

It's a very nice hotel on the main road to Santa Fe, rooms are good and clean and we are lucky enough to have a swimming pool which was great as we had a free afternoon. They are a bit slow in putting replacement coffee in room but we get it eventually. Breakfast which is served on a voucher at...

If you haven't stayed at the El Rey Inn, you haven't truly experienced Santa Fe charm. My husband and I have been visiting New Mexico since 1988, and we had never stayed at the El Rey until last week. My mother kept telling me that we needed to stay there. Finally, we did, and it won't be our last stay....

I've stayed here 5 times. It's a great place for the price. Beautiful grounds and a nice pool and hot tub. They used to have free breakfast in a nice little room off the main office. That has now been closed and they are planning on making a restaurant and bar - which could be a plus. I am sure...

My wife and I stayed at El Rey last night. Beautiful grounds, walking distance to great food at the Pantry Cafe, room was clean. Old TV had a pink/purple picture, needs to be upgraded to flat panel with a remote. Site stated that there was breakfast included, but we were instructed to come by the office to get a discount...
