For the budget minded. No frills here, but I didn't need a mint on my pillow or a towel animal on my bed. Within walking distance to town. Located on a quiet side street. Rooms and common areas are clean. If you want to cook your own meals, kitchen areas are equipped with all the pots, pans, dishes and appliances...

Stayed with 2 college friends in a private 3 person room. The prices were good and location great. Our beds were comfy. Our one complaint was that there seemed to be a need to pay for showers. We did not know that going in so were disappointed. Also you had to pay for towels which wasn't made clear. Wifi was...

I've been staying at the Wayfarer's Rest for more than 10 years. It's within walking distance to town on a quiet side street. Andrea, the owner, is such a nice person and always makes me feel welcome. There are 2 kitchens which is so nice so that I can cook my own healthy meals. Andrea keeps the place very clean....

I've stayed here twice. My first experience was quite good. The second was disappointing. So overall I'm giving it an 'average'. The problem with the second trip was that there were no clean towels available when I arrived in the evening. I didn't stress too much about it, assuming that they would be restocked in the morning in order for...

Wayfarer's Rest was recommended for our stay on Friday Harbor...and it was perfect for us. The location is terrific , within walking distance of town, and very safe location. The "house" was extremely clean, spacious, and just felt immediately wonderful as we walked in. The shared bathroom idea to us was our biggest concern and usually a deal breaker..The bathrooms...

We stayed in a private room which was clean and perfect for the 3 of us. The bathroom was right outside the bedroom. It was clean, but there was a lot of noise during the night from others using it. Staying in another room might be better for light sleepers. The price was right for our one night stay. The...

Clean and quiet we were pretty much the only ones there with a few other single travellers! A great budget and family friendly guest...

In the middle of this uber busy holiday, I was happy to find (and I did indeed book VERY early in the year) a very reasonable (39 bucks) place to stay in the busy busy busy Friday Harbor for my time to visit during the busiest time of the year. Friday Harbor explodes during July 4th and Wayfarer's Rest is...

We booked out the full dorm room at Wayfarer's -- 6 beds for my family of four, but we didn't want random strangers in there with us. The spaces were quite tight and the place was off the beaten path in a sort of odd, industrial neighborhood. The communal spaces felt pretty warm and inviting, but since we were just...

Everything was great. The price was way less than any hotel on the island. It was a last minute decision to take a trip to Friday Harbor so the various hotels were either extremely expensive or not available. We had two rooms. We had family from out of town visiting so we booked the suite as well as private room...
