Had a great one night stay here. The historical side of the hotel is AMAZING!! Make sure you explore the whole place and hit up the bar even if you don't stay here, drinks were great and affordable!!! Perfect location for doing touristy stuff.

I attended a conference here and also visited the presidential suite. The facilities are not clean, the food is absolutely horrible (like cafeteria food from when you were a kid) and everything is old, dark and not maintained well. I honestly don't know why you would stay here, unless you want to look at historic memorabilia in the hallways -...

The room was small, but nice. Very noisy. No hot water. Small bathroom. Shower curtain would blow into you during shower making it impossible to shower. Water came out shower head when turned on without pulling the shower knob.

We stayed here for so many reasons and were not disappointed!! The hotel is so historic and it is suppose to be haunted!! We enjoyed learning of the history and the architecture is fantastic! The room was neat and clean but certainly old. Service was great, very friendly people. One of the staff showed us a picture on his cell...

We had a little bit of trouble finding the street, because it's only a block long, but if you follow the Cinderella coaches and double-decker buses to the gazebo by the Alamo, you will see the Menger just across from it. Step inside and you are in a haven from the hubbub outside. This historic hotel takes you back in...

If you haven't stayed in the Menger before, you owe yourself the treat. From the antique elegance, excellent food and service, to the chance ghost encounter (I've personally had one)... no trip to San Antonio is the same without including the Menger in your plans. And how could you possibly visit the Menger without a trip to the historic Menger...

I was looking forward to staying at the historic Noel. I had heard of it beautiful decor and location right on the Riverwalk. I was totally disappointed in my stay. Upon my arrival I was greeted by two young ladies that had sour disposition. I was assigned a room that had hair in the bathtub, with a tub that would...

We just spent four days in San Antonio at the beautiful old Menger Hotel. We stayed in the Oscar Wilde suite which is really lovely. The hotel is very conveniently located. It is just across the side street from the Alamo and is within easy walking distance of the river walk and it's many restaurants. Our hotel was perfect and...

Centrally located in the Alamo Plaza area. Old hotel that has done a nice job with renovations. Very friendly and responsive staff. Parking is $28/nt so we parked for $10/day by the convention center and walked about 5 minutes. Shower tub was clogged - they came to fix it. Server at Pool was kind of clueless - no drink menu,...

“we were originally given a tiny room in the back of the property with only 1 bed despite our reservation being for 2 beds. They made it right & gave us a big room with 2 beds & a great view.”

“If you like chasing ghosts, ask for The King room. The original hotel is full of charm but the rooms may not be for everyone. The new wing is more of a modern layout. The Menger has it all, just be sure to confirm which room you would prefer. ”
