I have stayed here multiple times over the years. It has a nice atmosphere. The big band music playing in the lobby sets the tone for the history of the place. It is said to be haunted, but I have never noticed anything out of the ordinary.

My wife and I stayed at the Menger Hotel earlier this week for a few days. It was wonderful! Great historic hotel, beautiful decor, and wonderful people. We ate in the Colonial Restaurant, in the hotel on two days for breakfast and one day for dinner. All was wonderful. Our dinner was the best, as we had a wonderful woman...

I have wanted to stay at the Menger since I was a little girl on her first trip to the Alamo. I loved the building and the history behind it. When I booked my hotel for the Texas Library Association's 2017 Conference I was thrilled to see the Menger listed as one of the hotels to stay at. I booked...

The Customer service was stellar from the minute we walked in the door. The atmosphere is wonderful and the location perfect. Love the historic bar. I love staying at the Menger every time I'm in San Antonio.

My friend and I stayed at the Menger Hotel recently for the Texas Library Conference. It was, as usual, a fantastic stay. The hotel is impeccable and the service is second to none. I look forward to my next stay!

This wonderful historic hotel has been my choice when available for many years. Staying there this past week gave me an opportunity to see the great renovation work that has been done. I cannot think of a more convenient location in downtown SA. If you are looking for modernity without character, search elsewhere. If, however, you want a gracious staff,...

Teddy Roosevelt room was spectacular, although loud AC in sitting room. Nice folks, too, although the desk staff didn't inform me of a package that had arrived two days ago, and kitchen claimed to know nothing about room service, which was delivered 5 minutes later. So there were since internal communication issues. Took forever for shower to hear up. Still,...

The Menger is historic, so if authentic, old world charm isn't your thing then this isn't the place for you. But, if you're like me and love quirky old things then totally stay here! The service was 100% outstanding, my room was tidily cozy and the bed was comfy. I loved wandering through the gardens, and spending a little time...

The biggest advantage of the hotel is its location, right next to Alamo historic site. Close to everything. Shopping mall just outside the door, plenty of restaurants around, river walk for relaxing stroll. Though grocery store is 15 min.away. Old hotel, classy, with well trained pleasant personnel. A/C is centrally regulated, which is the reason of occasional sweating. Breakfast room...

WE enjoyed our stay at the Menger. The beds were very comfy and the room was very clean and well appointed. The hotel is very close to the Alamo and the entrance to the Riverwalk . The only draw back was having to pay $28 per day/night for parking.
