We stayed in the Bordeaux Room: large, especially the bathroom, well appointed, well cared for. If you're a walker all the San Antonio downtown sites are within easy strolls. Deb and Kit are terrific hosts, and Esme is a gem. Neighborhood restaurants are to die for. We are B/B people and this ranks right up there with the best.

A Yellow Rose exceeded all of our expectations. My wife and I had reserved four of the five rooms for a weekend family getaway. The accomodations were spacious, very clean, and well appointed. The breakfast offerings were delicious, although not provided until 9:00 AM, which was a little later than I prefer, but was perfect for everyone else. The King...

We enjoyed our second stay at Yellow Rose as much as the first. There were five years between visits and remarkably it has remained the cozy get away that it is. It was wonderful to park the car and walk or use the trolleys to go anywhere in San Antonio, almost. It was clean, spacious, and had a wonderful breakfast....

The Yellow Rose is an absolutely lovely and cozy place to stay! I had to beg my husband to book a stay at a Bed and Breakfast instead of Hotel in Downtown San Antonio but he loved it so much when we got there that we decided to stay 5 nights intstead of 4. The rooms are beautiful and spacious....

My first bed & breakfast.....The Yellow Rose has set the standard for me in what I will look for next time I book a Bed and Breakfast. Very easy to find using the owner's directions. We had our own entrance and I appreciated that very much. The little chocolates awaiting us once we walked in was the nicest touch. Spacious,...

For a first-time visit to San Antonio, I chose to stay at A Yellow Rose after visiting their web site. What a wonderful treat! The bed and breakfast is in a lovely old neighborhood within walking distance of the River Walk. The rooms are beautiful and filled with charming vintage details. The deep tubs are delicious! If chain hotels bore...

I was in San Antonio four nights for a convention. The Yellow Rose was so convenient to downtown and the convention center (10 minute walk), yet the house felt very secluded and private from it all!! The room I stayed in (Bordeaux) was large but still cozy. The bathroom was huge! I have stayed in quite a few B&Bs but...

My husband and I went to San Antonio for a quick, out-of-town getaway and booked A Yellow Rose based on the reviews on this site. We found the reviews to be very accurate. A Yellow Rose is located in the beautiful, historic King William District, which is just south of downtown SA. Each room has its own exterior entrance; the...
