What an incredible hidden gem off the fringe of downtown San Antonio. If you are up to a little walking, you can access popular downtown sites with ease from this hotel. Like the Majestic Theater - and the Tobin Theater is literally next door. The retro feel of the rooms gives the place a very nice ambiance. Stepping back in...

The Havana Hotel is a nice boutique hotel with a good location in San Antonio, additional pros: good drinks at the bar and nice restaurant plus friendly staff. But we encountered more cons than expected. The main and most problematic issue with the hotel may be unique to our room (15 - king suite), which was that there was a...

This sexy hotel is like the wide-hipped girl your mother warned you about in high school, or that guy with the ponytail and the sleepy eyes who you knew you should not date. When you walk in the entrance, you are sure that you have entered another era, and perhaps another country: Hanava? Mexico? Spain? That is hard to pull...

First of all..it is an old building..so you everything outside of your room. I love it though. The rooms are dated...in a nice way. It has a classic feel of what you expect a hotel in Havana to be like. The restaurant menu is a little strange and the drinks a little strong...but otherwise great! The minibar is stocked with...

I stayed here in Dec 2014 for 5 nights. Charming place. BUT-- service not a priority. Example--one night called at 9:30 pm knowing room service ended at 10 pm. After multiple transfers and voicemails (?) I spoke with a human. 9:50. He declared that all was left was Caesar salad. Mind you I alerted the morning staff and was given...

We have stayed at the Havana 5-6 times over the past few years, for everything from family trips to romantic getaways, including, most recently, our anniversary. The hotel is so wonderfully decorated and the staff is the best! It is truly one of my favorite places ever and has the added perk of being "attached" to Ocho bar and restaurant,...

Absolutely one of my most favorite hotels ever visited. I love hotels that have a little history and character and the Hotel Havana was overflowing with both. From the time I arrived until the time I departed, I was treated with the utmost in hospitality and the hotel itself was amazing. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the towels and...

This was a two-night stay over the New Year's period. Once again, we stayed on the lobby floor, this time in a smaller queen suite overlooking the atrium-enclosed Ocho restaurant. Once again, we were warmed by the social buzz in the lobby area as other guests met for a period in the common area then drifted away to be replaced...

Worth the trip to San Antonio just for the experience of staying in this unique Liz Langdon hotel! Old world charm at its very finest--- from the mysterious and enchanting atmosphere to the excellent service and awesome location and bar downstairs. I travel around 15 days a month and have stayed in some amazing locations-- this is one of my...

Having stayed at the Hotel Havana (and its sister properties in Austin), I can say without hesitation that these places are not for everyone. They are especially not for non-adventurous types who bask in chain hotel comfort and expectations. But for those who crave something different and unique, the Hotel Havana is one of San Antonio's true charms. The nearly...
