The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning was SUPER. The staff was always helpful. The gal who was in charge of the kitchen was amazing! She was super friendly and kind. The custodian/maintenance man was helpful when the kids were looking for the ice machine. The hotel was quiet and breakfast was GREAT!! Our only complaint was that it was difficult to make a left turn onto Hwy 8 if/when we were headed to Minnesota.

Stayed here recently with a large group. We asked for a special request that they readily agreed to! We really appreciated them accommodating us! Extra bonus was the heat/air offering a “constant fan” option! It’s something that often wakes my family up at hotels when it stops or starts throughout the night. Decent choice if you want to be close to Taylors Falls or within easy driving distance to Stillwater. Check in experience was a bit odd in that there was some issue with the room keys and they had to be replaced. Room was clean and comfortable but the decor was thoroughly generic and unremarkable. Nothing about it really stood out. The free breakfast was good with some different proteins offered on different days. This is probably a three and a half star property but TripAdvisor doesn’t provide such a rating, so I went with three stars. Nothing really wrong with the place but nothing particularly memorable about it either.

states and I have lived in this country for almost 20 years. The front desk claimed that she couldn’t find my reservation and complained that she couldn’t understand me because I had a mask on (she didn't). Then she suggested I booked the wrong hotel because this is IHG Wisconsin not IHG St. Croix Valley. I read her the address in the confirmation emails to me but she insisted that I booked the wrong hotel. After I called booking.com to straighten it out, she was still not willing to help me but her colleague offered to help. And when she saw her colleague helping me, she started yelling "so she is helping you now?" To which I replied "because you clearly couldn't" She then said to me "How could I possibly know that your name would be associated with two xxxs (I don't share last name with my husband who is Caucasian and my son)?" I almost wanted to reply because you are a racist?! I would never stay with this hotel again.…

Took the boat trip up st croix river. It was enjoyable but crowded..they did not request proof of vacination or mask..disapponting..many shops were closed. Restraunts closed. Wait till covid is over. Dalles house restraunt over priced and waitress wanted to talk politics. Steaks tough.

I made reservations in May for a July arrival.I could only book one night because the place was booked up for the weekend for weddings. I am an IHG member and am normally greeted as such but it didn't happen this time. The place is clean but could use an update and the outside grounds could be cleaned up. Other than those minor things it was a great weekend. Final note, the breakfast is still following COVID practices

I tried three times to reserve a room for a wedding this July and got the same person two out of three times. They had no idea what I was talking about the first time and the second time tried to say that you needed a 2 night minimum, which is only for the wedding party. I am a friend of the wedding party and was told none of this was the case and they had to spend multiple days on the phone trying to rectify this. I finally got a third person today and I expressed my frustration at the situation. I did not receive any apology about the situation and was told basically "too bad so sad, its not our responsibility"' I'm not sure what is going on with the staff at this location but I would never, ever hold any type of event here if you can possibly help it. As someone who works in hospitality and helps coordinate events, this is the most basic task for you to accomplish. Avoid this place like the plague! So the first thing this place did was refuse to let the bride get a large block of rooms even though they vehemently requested one. Now the block is full and wedding guests can no longer get rooms and they seem to refuse a customers basic requests. The hotel agreed (reluctantly I'm sure) to add more rooms to the block on the 28th, which they did, but then quickly removed them. Now the wedding party does not know what to do. If you want a successful wedding or event of any kind, look elsewhere because the event coordinator and her staff seemingly do not know how handle simple event details such as these. Buyer beware!!…

My husband and boys stayed there this past weekend for a ski trip at trollhaugen. Our hotel stay was one of the best ones we’ve had. My husband I have traveled the world and our experience at this hotel was bar none. The staff was amazing...catered to our every need with the biggest smile. Rooms and pool were super clean and very accommodating. Hands down we would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to the area. Almost don’t want to tell people so the next time we come there we can still get a room!

We traveled 5 hours and were welcomed by the most courteous desk attendant. They all greeted us special as if it was there home. Gift coupon for $4.00 off breakfast at Our Place. Amazing! Also everything was COVID clean!!! The rooms were remarkably clean straight and had all the cleaning supplies available.i was very impressed that Watkins soaps were used. The pool area was outstanding and fresh. The water sparkled as some places the lights are turned down low as if to cover up something. Their pool and whirlpool area was so clean. The “To go” breakfast was neatly organized and the variety of food fit anyone’s diet. The woman and men at the desk were heartfelt cordial to us when leaving for the day as well as returning. I am so impressed! Thanks for making my sister and my stay a luxury when COVID stress is surrounding us all. You are 10plus in my book!! Hope to return next Spring.…

Stayed here with my husband and toddler and. 8 month old baby my husband was not with me at time of check in so james the front desk guy helped me with all my things to my room and made sure we was comfortable and didn’t need anything I really appreciated it At this time where no one wants to help or be near another person haha but I appreciated it immensely and will stay again when we’re I.
