This hotel exceeded my expectations. The service was exceptional, easy and very friendly check-in, co-operative and expedient with additional requests (blankets, fire place issue). Breakfast was great and being gluten free was no hassle. Bonus was the heated pool available all hours. If you want a great stay with a great setting and great service, then this is it. I...

It is a little quiet oasis behind the walls. It is centrally located and has much to be admired. The rooms are very cozy and it had a little fireplace within the room. The beds are thick and soft with large soft pillows. Breakfast was basic, but got the day going.

The first room I was assigned was dark and looked out on another wall so I slogged my luggage back down to the office and asked for a change. I was in AZ for some sunlight, I plead, and I got another room with a view to the east, a great improvement. The service was iffy at the "enhanced continental...

If you want to immerse yourself in the Southwest feel instead of your old standard chain hotel, this is the place for you. The southwest architecture and décor as well as the desert landscaping throughout the property really give the feel of a desert oasis. The grounds are lovely and the staff was superb. The free breakfast is quite adequate...

I had booked one of the old original casitas, and when I saw it I was not that pleased with the layout just because my twin sister and I would avail ourselves of the scenery more than the fireplace. The women at the desk immediately took us to the newest casita, and we were literally on top of the world,...

I wouldn’t even have booked this place except for a points promotion by Rocketmiles in relation to one of my points cards. I’m very glad I did. It was a very nice ‘boutique’ hotel that was overloaded with the atmosphere of the Southwest. From the exceptionally friendly & informative check-in with Alex until the time I left, it was pretty...

The room has always been very nice with enough space, romantic fireplace and spacious bathroom. Front desk staff is always very professional. Don't even waste your time with the "free" breakfast though. If you can't serve decent food then don't. It won't encourage you to try their dinner menu. The head person in charge of the kitchen literally argued with...

Our stay at the Lodge on the Desert was very enjoyable. The staff was friendly, the food was good, the room was lovely. The breakfast was especially enjoyable! Our only negative comment is the price of the wine at the onsite restaurant. It's 3 to 4 times higher than other restaurants. They charge $16 a glass for Line 39 cab,...

No working wi-fi, no working safe box, no coffee cups in the room, and when I reported these issues the front desk attendant said "strange, Wi-Fi was working all the time" like I was lying or didn't know how to access it, instead of getting details to correct it or at least an apology.

Hi there and thank you for your review. We want to apologize for the issues you experienced during your stay. There definitely should have been coffee cups in your room. I've spoken with the general manager about the staff interaction and he will be following up with the front desk staff. Thank you for your feedback; it is with your...

We stayed at this hotel just one night in December 2016. This was just a stopover after driving quite a distance the day before and one day before we met our friends in Saddlebrook. We had been on the road for almost a month by that time. This hotel had some amenities that other hotels we stayed in didn't have....
