I love the Hotel Congress, even on a noisy night I love this place! Its alive, full of vitality and energy, and the food is great. I always like who is at the front desk and if noise is an issue, they have ear plugs. The rooms are always clean, beds comfortable, and no TVs, I like that!

I recently stayed two separate nights at the Hotel Congress. Here are my thoughts: Staff: One word to describe them: PHENOMENAL! I interacted with four staff (three at the front desk and one in the bar). All went out of their way to be both personable and professional. I could not have asked for more. Location: If you are taking...

Dear calumet22, Thank you for staying and your review. We are a pet friendly Hotel and allow all sorts of animals. We have 4 rooms that are designated pet friendly, if they are booked or the guest wants a quieter room they can choose to stay in a non-pet friendly room. We charge a larger fee to accomadate the clean-up...

The Hotel Congress holds a special place in our hearts. We are happy to forgive the noise for the fun of being a the center of the All Soul's Procession every year. We have always had great customer service in the hotel and the restaurants. In particular we appreciate their welcoming our dog! Yes, you need to be prepared for...

During an American road trip we stayed here for one night. The historic building with furnishings in keeping with the period building it's just like staying there when John Dilinger did! The cocktails were absolutely fantastic and despite plans to go out for the evening we just couldn't leave. The staff were very hospitable and welcoming and nothing was too...

It has been years since I was here but it is nice to be back. Very clean, very friendly, and well run establishment. We were there for a festival and enjoyed our stay. I really liked the place and this part of the U.S. When in town again I would stay here again. It was nice to be back. Clean,...

Nearly all of the bad reviews on TripAdvisor seem to focus on the noise but the hotel is VERY clear and honest about the music and street noise you can expect. We stayed here on a Wednesday night in one of the rooms overlooking the street (but not over the nightclub), and it was fine. Yes it's a busy trendy...

I would just like to add something to my earlier review of the Hotel Congress, in which I complained about the noise and the failure of management to address our issues. I still stand by my complaints regarding the noise level of the hotel. However: The hotel manager did telephone my girlfriend after receiving our complaints and apologized for the...

Just came back from my stay at this hotel and it was fabulous! I requested a "quiet room" and even though there was some noise on Saturday night, it didn't bother me. We headed to Tucson for a graduation at the University of Arizona. Wanting to stay close to the campus I chose the Hotel Congress. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Congress is listed on the National Historic Hotel Registry. We pride ourselves on the many unique features we offer that you'd be hard-pressed to find elsewhere. This historic Tucson hotel transports you back in time. Some cynical city-slicker types might notice the absence of a television in any of our 40 rooms and feel slighted. But it's intentional - we strive to maintain the Hotel's original ambiance - from the iron bed to the vintage radio, from the comforting rumble of the nearby iron horse to the retro-style phone that actually connects to a switchboard at the front desk. All rooms are uniquely designed offering an original experience every time and unlike most historic hotels, all rooms have private bathrooms, free high speed internet, and a private guest lounge. The lounge offers our patrons a large-screen television with unlimited channels as well as free computer access. You can also enjoy the exclusive outdoor patio, where you can soak-up the Tucson sunshine year round. We have new upgrades for our guests, to ensure an amazing experience during your stay at Hotel Congress. *Bike Program - We now have bicycles that our guests are able to check out to explore Tucson during their stay! We recommended guests to bike the Santa Cruz River Trail, and the Train Trail behind Maynards Market and Kitchen. Let us help you explore Downtown Tucson in a new way! *Snacks from local vendors - Enjoy some treats from our local vendors. Every room has a tray filled with a variety of snacks that are available to purchase. We have: Cactus candy, Rbar Energy Bar, Spunlight Cotton Candy, Green Valley pecans, Essentia Ionized Water, POPPED Artisan Popcorn, Cerreta Candy Co., and the Kobito Hangover and Love Kits. *Guest Room Internet - We now provide super high speed wireless Internet in our guest rooms that is 10x faster than before! ... more   less
