I booked a room for my husband and I over Christmas just because the hotel looked different from anything we've stayed in before. It was. As soon as you walk in, you're transported back to the Wild West. You have the desk, with real keys,...More

We are glad you decided to give us a chance to show you how we do hospitality at the Historic Hotel Congress. We hope to see you again soon.
A very well run privately owned hotel. We were warned of ground floor nightclub noise and offered earplugs (not necessary). The room was very clean, the beds and linens excellent quality, and the fixtures and furnishings vintage. A library with a pretty little courtyard was...More

Thank you for the wonderful review. Glad you found the library as it is sometimes overlooked. We look forward to your next visit.
Very small room, sketchy water in shower. Now that that's behind us ... great hotel! The staff was as friendly as can be, from the front desk to the bartenders. Before booking I read reviews and knew to ask for one of the "quieter" rooms...More

Dear Richard S.,
Thank you for the awesome review. We are glad you like the vibe we are shooting for. It's great that you listened to a local to find a great place to visit. Hope to see you here again soon.
Our room was nice and cool, no a/c was needed but that was in May, not July or August. Plenty of parking available in nearby garage, a bit of a walk, but not uncomfortable. Creative juggling I would recommend!

Yes, there is AC in the rooms. As for parking, there's an underground lot across the street. You get a ticket at the gate, take it back to the front desk and they'll validate it. There's also very limited street parking, metered on weekdays till either 5 or 6, but I'd definitely go for the lot. 😊
