When visiting the "Old Pueblo," you must come downtown and see the amazing transformation that is taking place. There exist a vibrancy downtown like there has not been in years. Anchoring it all is the historic Hotel Congress. Just walking in this place you are immediately transported back to a more elegant time. The corridor leading to the "Gents," is...

We went to for a weekend wedding and were there for the Agave Fest. The staff repeatedly mentioned the noise level, but we never expected it to be as noisy as it was. It wasn't a problem however. We had such a great time and were so exhausted by the time we crashed, we were had no problems sleeping, even...

Dear jchuran83, Last weekend was full of events for us here at the Hotel Congress, like you said we had Agave Fest, a Wedding, and then Sunday Morning's Bloody Mary Bar. We worked very hard and are grateful for the recognition. We are happy to hear you liked your room and the Cup Café also. Hope to see you soon....

This is a lovely old hotel in Tucson. It is very popular with lots of activity at night. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are not particularly big, the bed was a queen, we had a garden room which is one of the quieter rooms. We ate in the hotels restaurant and could not fault the food and service.

Celebrating my 20-year anniversary of my first visit to Tucson I stayed at Hotel Congress again for one night last October. It all begin in 1993 when I was on a road trip with friends. We were on the road for about three months, cruising the US in an old vintage Ford T-Bird. One of our stops was Tucson, a...

I've read some complaints - obviously some people come here expecting a luxury hotel. It's not. It's clean, quirky, vintage and the staff is friendly and Über helpful. We were there on a Sunday night, although earplugs were provided, they were certainly not necessary. Prior to my arrival, the managment was super helpful regarding my multiple food allergies, and bringng...

The hotel is wonderful and is a great institution, it's not for real luxury travelers but is an awesome place to enjoy some of the the best culture and events Tucson has to offer. The rooms are designed to reflect the early 1900's (plus air conditioning that is), everything else in the room, including the replica antique radios and phone...

My husband and I decided to stay in this hotel because it was going to host a friend's wedding and we were coming from out of town. We are very glad we did, since that way we could spend more time with friends and not have to drive so much. The hotel is quite charming, it is small, but has...

The Congress has wonderful charm everywhere. We loved its historic character. With an excellent restaurant, iconic bars, outdoor patio, and popular nightclub, it would be nice if it could survive without renting rooms. It's virtually impossible to sleep in any of them. We got a room as far away from the nightclub as possible only to discover they had outdoor...

Dear merlindancer, Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry to hear that the rooming aspect of your stay was less than pleasant. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Congress is listed on the National Historic Hotel Registry. We pride ourselves on the many unique features we offer that you'd be hard-pressed to find elsewhere. This historic Tucson hotel transports you back in time. Some cynical city-slicker types might notice the absence of a television in any of our 40 rooms and feel slighted. But it's intentional - we strive to maintain the Hotel's original ambiance - from the iron bed to the vintage radio, from the comforting rumble of the nearby iron horse to the retro-style phone that actually connects to a switchboard at the front desk. All rooms are uniquely designed offering an original experience every time and unlike most historic hotels, all rooms have private bathrooms, free high speed internet, and a private guest lounge. The lounge offers our patrons a large-screen television with unlimited channels as well as free computer access. You can also enjoy the exclusive outdoor patio, where you can soak-up the Tucson sunshine year round. We have new upgrades for our guests, to ensure an amazing experience during your stay at Hotel Congress. *Bike Program - We now have bicycles that our guests are able to check out to explore Tucson during their stay! We recommended guests to bike the Santa Cruz River Trail, and the Train Trail behind Maynards Market and Kitchen. Let us help you explore Downtown Tucson in a new way! *Snacks from local vendors - Enjoy some treats from our local vendors. Every room has a tray filled with a variety of snacks that are available to purchase. We have: Cactus candy, Rbar Energy Bar, Spunlight Cotton Candy, Green Valley pecans, Essentia Ionized Water, POPPED Artisan Popcorn, Cerreta Candy Co., and the Kobito Hangover and Love Kits. *Guest Room Internet - We now provide super high speed wireless Internet in our guest rooms that is 10x faster than before! ... more   less
