I believe our first visit to the Azure Gate was in 2011. Since that first visit we have always stayed with Dennis and Christine on our annual trip to Tucson. They are truly the best hosts you could ever meet. Our favorite thing to do every morning of our stay is to make coffee and sit and watch the sun... More

Four visits so far: March, November, April (twice); Feb. next. Wonderful anytime. The constant, animating factor at all times: the amazing and gifted hosts, Christine and Dennis. Together they've created the perfect blend of nature's beauty, art, lovely colours, quiet spaces, good cheer, and sensual treats - great sheets, divine breakfasts (Dennis) with exquisite table settings(Christine); sheltered garden spots of... My wife and I spent 4 wonderful nights at the Azure Gate while on a family vacation to Tucson this past November. Dennis and Christine were wonderful hosts from the truly delicious and filling gourmet breakfasts to start each day to the comfortable accommodations as well as the spectacular desert garden landscape and wildlife to enjoy. Sitting outside in the... More

We first stayed at this wonderful B&B in 2013 and were delighted to visit again last month and find everything we liked was just as great this time! We stayed for 8 nights in The Catalina. Loved the privacy and expansive patios where you could sit, relax and watch the small animals scamper about the surrounding area. The small kitchen... More

Dennis and Christine welcome us into their homey b & b for five nights. The breakfasts were so tasty and large that none of us ate lunch for the five days. 3/4 of us are picky eaters but Dennis had it all under control. His philosophy of "breakfast is just dinner with an egg" yielded paella and burritos, plus more... More

Our first stay at Azure Gate in May 2015 was the beginning of a sweet romance. After our second and recent trip to Azure Gate in October 2016 we are deeply in love. There's not one spot in and around the premises that ist not beautiful. The cacti-studded garden and all its inhabitants are simply breathtaking. Including its owners: Dennis... More

One has to begin this review acknowledging the most accommodating and interesting owners of this BnB. Thank you Christine for sharing your beautiful children's books, kind manner and so many helpful tips on hiking. We never dreamed our stay would include the gourmet breakfasts prepared by Dennis. Thank you for caring enough to accommodate my restrictions and serving delicious meals... More

First time visitors to Tucson. Visited in August for birding and to have a fun week in Tucson. Stayed at two B&B's for 3 nights each. Azure has a beautiful setting, loved sitting by the pool and watching the hummingbirds. A cooper hawk was a daily morning visitor for a cool drink. The breakfasts were fantastic. Dennis really outdid himself.... More

This B&B is located in the desert at the foot of Mt. Lemmon in Tucson. We stayed in a charming one-bedroom guesthouse (the Santa Ana Guesthouse) adjacent to the main house. The grounds include five acres of beautifully maintained desert plantings. Every single thing that you might possibly want has been thought of and provided for you here. For example,... More

Just a great environment, lovely grounds, beautiful, aesthetically pleasing buildings, and great host & hostess. What more would you ask ? It served as our "base" for our travels around Tucson and it was always great to come "home" to the Azure Gate !
