My partner and I stayed at the Crickethead Inn for 4 nights and had a marvelous time. Each morning was a treat to wake up and wonder what breakfast delights Wayan would prepare. Besides a fantastic food, breakfast included lively and entertaining conversation with hosts, Mike and Wayan. There is a lot of positive, happy energy at the Crickethead Inn....

Despite it being the busy gem show week in Tucson(didn't know when booked) the four of us were able to find lodging here; it was a full house! We were in the separate building with a Balinese wedding bed and pull out. The art, tile work, gardens, desert plant and animal life were inspirational. We especially loved watching the sunrise...

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Crickethead during our vacation to the southwest. The rooms are quaint, the breakfasts are tasty (Wayan's crepes are the best!) and Mike and Wayan are excellent hosts. We enjoyed watching the javalinas, quail, and skittish coyote come in for breakfast. The property butts right up to the park so it's easy to take...

The Crickethead Inn is the exact opposite of generic, sterile hotels. This owner-built inn is full of loving touches, beautiful artwork, and exotic furniture. Did I mention the setting, in the stunning Sonoran Desert? Each morning we heard mourning doves, curve-billed thrashers, and Gila woodpeckers. The saguaros, other cacti, ironwood, and palo verde trees were so beautiful. It's very quiet,...

We picked this place because we were coming up from San Carlos, Mexico to escape the noise and craziness of the Semana Santa weekend. It was an excellent choice. No traffic noise and full of wildlife and birds. Mike and Wayan are gracious hosts and the breakfasts were the best I have ever eaten at a B&B. Our room was...

Mike and Wayan were so wonderfully accommodating and full of local knowledge. The breakfasts were so delicious while quail, javelina and a plethora of other birds sang and pecked outside. Bunnies visited each morning. Our room was very comfortable as well as interesting with the various exotic pieces of furniture and fabrics. When we entered our room and saw the...

The Crickethead was a great match for us, but it is not for everyone. If you want to see the desert while having a TV, swimming pool, and other luxury amenities then go to the JW Marriott. However, if you want to see stars at night, see birds and wild life (we saw javilina) from your lodging, and be on...

We loved our 4 days staying at Crickethead, we only wish we had stayed longer. Mike and Wayan are wonderful hosts and the room we chose opened up onto Saguaro National Park. We woke up to the sun rising with gila woodpeckers flying in and out of the giant saguaro right outside. The wildlife was abundant, great horned owl, javelinas,...

One of the most unique B&B locations we've visited. Isolated, stunning Sonoran Desert landscape, comfortable rooms, great shower. Owners are welcoming and interesting. This is a very down-to-earth B&B. The indoor main room & dining areas are shared space with the owners, and may or may not be available for guest use. However, there are several separate guest outdoor patios...

Mike and Wayan's B&B borders the Saguaro National Park and offers a very warm and welcoming view of the desert. Our room was pretty, well appointed and had a very cool blend of Southwest and Indonesian decor. Breakfast was great and our hosts were very understanding as we jumped from the table to photograph the wildlife that visited the waterhole...
