For future reference, it is always preferred that a reservation be made during off-season months, however, more often than not, you will be able to have a bed to sleep in. In the winter months, we shut down our large wing so we only have eight rooms open and we usually are doing renovations on at least one of those.
I hope as you passed through Lubec, you found a warm place to stay! Sorry again for the late response.

Good morning Jess... the charge for the room is comparable to other motels in the county, and actually cheaper than most. And, yes, you are certainly right... the changes, including carpet replacement, are covered by the room cost. That is how a business should operate. As a result of the continual repairs and updates, we are far from a "dive motel" and when you were here, you spoke of how nice the place is and how well your kids were treated. If there was a party here, you should have notified us immediately. We pride ourselves on providing our guests with a clean and quiet place to stay. FYI- we close the office down at 9:00 pm and are in bed by 9:05 pm. .... no parties here!
