My wife and I visit northeastern Maine a couple of times a year. We like it there. One of the reasons is the Eastland Motel. Nice clean spacious rooms, dog friendly, reasonably priced, great service. The owners are wonderful people who make you feel right...More

We were going to arrive late they helped by opening the door and leaving the key for us. When checking out the next morning we got great information on things to do besides what we were planning. The homemade muffins were great. The room was...More

We were looking for a place to stay in Lubec where we could bring our dog. This was exactly what we wanted. The owners had great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. There's great coastal walking/hiking nearby, and even on the Columbus...More

Thanks for the great review despite your lack of sleep. We are truly sorry and are aware of the "firm" mattress. However, we have more people come in and say they LOVE it than not. It is only two years old but, I am with...More

Oops. This question is actually an answer from the owner to previous question from someone who wanted to know if there would be room for a walk-in during the month of August.

We are retired and travel with no itinerary or time table. Is it difficult to find a place to stay this time of year without reservation. We never know how far we will travel on a particular day. What are your rates?

Why are you trying to justify every negative comment? Telling customers how much a carpet change cost? Charge so much for a dive motel in an area with nothing? Besides owners their friends and customers drinking all night long, as my children were unable to sleep due to a so called party! Or Is it for carpets, roof and everything else you have stated your fixing? As well an airstrip is not to be used for dog walking and enjoyment you may want to contact Homeland Security before telling patrons to use it for such.
