What a delightful time we had at The Peacock House B&B. It really couldn't have been any better. The new owner, Mary Beth, made sure that our rooms were exactly what we wanted, the guest spaces are warm and inviting, cookies and coffee are readily available and the breakfasts are wonderful, but best of all is the comfortable and accepting... We accidentally decided to visit Lubec after taking 3 different ferries from Nova Scotia. What a cute fishing village near the Canadian border. Peacock House is what ever B & B should be, a cute old house, perfectly renovated, comfortable, lovely Host and delicious breakfast. There is more but I'll stop here.

Very nice location, B&B, and host. Can't say enough good things about this. We stayed in one of the first floor suites (Meadow Room). It had a small sitting area, a small common porch off the back, and a queen bed that was very comfortable. There are plenty of common areas to gather and relax. Breakfast was very tasty and... More

My boyfriend and I had been touring Maine and staying in B&Bs, and this was the first one we visited that he excitedly said he wanted to come back to in the future. The house is beautiful, the people are very friendly, and the rooms are comfy.

As of this year, the Peacock B&B is under new management and it is a wonderful place to stay. Lubek is on the border right across from Campobello Island - FDR's summer home while growing up. We stayed in Lubek one night. The room was nicely decorated and the common area downstairs was roomy. The breakfast was delicious - a... More

Throughout our travels in the US and Europe we have rarely experienced the friendly and gracious care shown by Mary Beth in her Peacock House B&B. She invited us into her home as treasured kin, provided all we needed for a comfortable stay and served innovative and tasty breakfasts. When we return to Lubec we will return to the Peacock... Lubec is a very small town and this B&B is within walking distance of the downtown. Mary Beth is so welcoming as she opens her home to you, offering an abundant array of amenities that make you feel at home. She goes out of her way to engage the guests to socialize. Breakfast is good. Linens are great but the... More

This is a little piece of paradise at the eastern-most part of Maine. Beautifully decorated, with several comfortable seating areas in the parlor, on the sun porch, and outside. A well-stocked library. Even a piano! Our suite was cheery and quiet; the beds were ever so comfortable. The owner, Mary Beth Hoffman, purchased the well-established inn last year and is... More
