From an historic perspective the hotel is very grand and interesting. Movie buffs (The Shining) may be a bit disappointed since real life is often less than what is portrayed in the movies (i.e. the garden maze). Surprisingly few memorabilia for sale which will also...More
The first time I went was back in 2011. I was too psyched up so I was scared and did not sleep well. This time, I treated the room like any other room. And, I had a good night's sleep. In both cases, I did...More

Sorry to hear that you were made to pay for parking as a staying guest at The Stanley Hotel. We appreciate your valuable feedback and understand your frustration. We do have a policy in place to charge for tourist parking during the Peak seasons (May through to September), this does not apply to guests staying in our accommodation. Rest assured we will talk to our Concierge about this issue so that this does not happen to you or others again in the future.
I hope you will come and visit us again sometime soon!

Dear AlexandSarahConcord, We are very excited you will be staying with us in July! We do offer fans in all our rooms for our hotel guests. The temperature July in Estes Park can vary from the high 80's to mid 70's during the day to the mid 50’s and low 40’s in the evening. Thank you for your question. Regards, Greg Shaw Operations Manager.
