There was initially a problem in communication with the company I booked through which started out as a problem with them. When I called your manager and went through everything it was very concerning. First, your front desk employees were amazing, they were friendly, helpful,...More

This was my second stay at a historical hotel, the first being Grand View Resort in NH.
Unfortunately Grand View set the bar high & staying at the Stanley was very underwhelming.
Great views, intriguing history but lacking in amenities.

Hi Joanne, I highly recommend taking a hike up to Gem Lake which is a 2 hour round trip and right behind the hotel! W Elkhorn Avenue has many restuarants and bars which are worth a visit. If you have a sweet tooth you should visit The Taffy Shop for some melt in your mouth Saltwater Taffy! You won't be disappointed! Currently, Uber is not available in Estes Park but we do have a local taxi company which you can take you out of town for $40-60 or the Estes Park Shuttle for $90 (with 24 hours notice). Kind Regards, Tamsin Te-Strote, Guest Relations Manager
