This was our first visit to Maxwell Inn since the Maxwell's bought and refurbished the (former) Mountain Sage Inn; a place we stayed each fall for several years. The Maxwell's are the perfect family to operate such a business; friendly, confident, knowledgable and oh so helpful! The Maxwell Inn is a perfect location on west Elkhorn Ave (very easy access...

Railsback - Thank you! You covered it all! We have enjoyed meeting new guests as well as meeting folks that stayed here before we purchased and remodeled. It's always interesting talking to folks have a history of visiting Estes. Thank you for the review (really I'm at a loss, because it was so thorough!) and for staying with us. Please...

Great place to stay! Room was small but most importantly was clean, up to date, and cozy feeling. Within a 10 minute walk along the paved path beside the river to downtown and within a 10 minute drive to RMNP. The light continental breakfast was enough to get the day started and they have tons of movies for you to...

J.d.M - Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review about your stay and your vacation in Estes. We've done a lot of work to the motel and are happy that it shows. Location is a huge perk, and to hear that you took advantage of that short walk or short drive to whatever you wanted to...

Super cute place! Rooms were clean with great beds. The owners are very nice too. Elk were right outside the windows. The Inn is also close to Rocky Mountain National Park. This is not a huge resort. It is small and quiet. Little extras like hot tub and fire pit are on the property. The toiletries are very nice too....

Michelle - I'm so happy to hear that your co-vacation was enjoyable and that we were a great home base for you! Sometimes we do have people arrive that think the place is larger than it is, but if you make sure you look at pictures and reviews, we hope people can have a realistic idea... just 17 rooms! The...

We really enjoyed our stay at the Maxwell Inn. We needed a last minute babysitter and Dana, the owner, connected us to a wonderful babysitter who met our needs perfectly. Our room was tidy, comfortable, and amply stocked and restocked with amenities. The continental breakfast was a nice little perk, making it easy to get a quick breakfast. The Maxwell...

Spent 6 nights here exploring RMNP and had a very comfortable stay. Rooms have character with quality wood trims, wood blinds, furniture style similar to arts & crafts, and tasteful accessories. Stayed in #1 and #8 and both were clean with comfy beds. Quiet hours are enforced, which helps with getting to bed early (hikers start early and fill up...

Grateful - Thanks for staying with us this summer! I was happy to hear that you all enjoyed your time here, both here at the hotel and in the park. We understand that our place isn't perfect for everyone, but are happy to see that it met the needs of you all. Your feedback on the location and quick easy...

The inn is very nice. The rooms are not very big but the only time we were there is to sleep. Everything is up to date and extremely well kept up. I would always ask for an upper room as the view is fantastic. I would recommend this place to anyone going to Estes Park.

David - Thank you for taking the time to write a review on our motel, and thank you for the kind words. Traveler needs seem to have changed since our place was built, and we're happy that you appreciated our motel for what it is. From the moment you walk in and are greeted by the owner up until you check out you are treated beautifully. Hot tub and fire pit at night! Clean spacious rooms, soft comfortable king size bed, continental breakfast. Perfect location right on the edge of town between the downtown & Rocky MountainNational park! Although it's a hotel- it feels more...

Carmalyn - There's no way I could handle making breakfast all summer long! :) We really like our place and we're happy that you did also. Our location is probably the most universal benefit to our motel... some folks don't take advantage of the hot tub, the continental breakfast, or even the info available at the front desk - but...

We stayed in Room 5 at the Maxwell Inn. This is an older facility that has had plenty of TLC. It's very well-kept and spotlessly clean. We had a VERY comfortable, firm king-size bed, a pair of comfortable chairs, in-room refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom is small but has a great shower. You'll also enjoy the outdoor fire pit until...

Dana is a great host. She texted me that my room is ready when I was still sitting at the conference at Denver. When I arrived, she gave me advice on where to eat.
