Very rustic and therapeutic. Take time to sit on the back patio of the cottage and enjoy all of Mother Nature around you. Cottage is very clean and enough room for 5 to 6 people. Maybe not suitable for toddlers are young children not a lot of activities for them to do there. Family owned and operated for the last...

Thank You very much for your kind review, it was very nice. I do disagree on the one point of the children not having a lot to do. We have spent many hours watching the children PLAY in the river. They float down it, wade, and just have a ball. There is also the large lawn area for them, sometimes...

Beverly and her family were meticulous, organized and straight forward in dealing with guests. Th decks were great and the river lulls you to sleep. My only is negative is that it is very close to a busy road. Price was good and reasonable. The kids really enjoyed swimming in the shallow clear River .

Thank you for that wonderful review. We really enjoy watching the people (not just kids) on their inner tubes floating down the river, they have a ball. Lots of fun. I really appreciate your comments about our dealings with our guests as we are not a big business, we are just a family with 16 cottages that we rent. We...

We stayed July 26-July 29th in cabin 11. The cabins are older however have been kept up and are a nice alternative to staying right in Estes Park. Just a couple of miles outside of town on hwy 34 the location is quiet and the decks are wonderful to sit out and relax while listing to the river. The properties...

I am with you, I am in the office all day (as you know) and I very rarely hear anything from the road. It is very quiet and peaceful. We are open until mid October and then we must close as we are not winterized. Hope to see you this fall when the aspens are turning a beautiful red and...

We stayed three nights in the old log cabin (#18) and loved every minute of it. The days we were there, there was a fire ban so no grilling on the deck. Beverly had two big gas grills fired up and while we grilled our steaks, we had an impromptu game of Frisbee with the neighbors. I can't say enough...

Thank You so much for your very kind review. Just think, you stayed in a cabin that is over 100 years old. How many many people must have enjoyed that cabin and river, over that many years. That was the 1st cabin built on what was to become Loveland Heights Cottages and altho the others came many years later, they...

My husband and I stayed in cabin 12, July 24-29. The location of Loveland Heights Cottages is great! Away from the bustle of downtown Estes, and only a 15 minute drive to RMNP. My favorite part of cabin 12 was the deck that hangs right over the Big Thompson River. The sound of the river was awesome as we slept....

I am so glad that you enjoyed your time with us. I go out on my deck 4 or 5 times a day just to enjoy the sound of the Big Thompson, it is special.

Beverly was so sweet and accommodating! This lady really went out of her way to make sure we were having a great time and enjoying our stay! This piece of river that she owns is as pretty as you can find. Clean, no trash, no foot prints from others, this is YOUR stretch of river for your stay. Rainbows and...

Thank You so much. You folks were great guests and I enjoyed you. The thing of it is; with the guys that people do not realize, is that they are the ones that keep that river private for our guests. They patrol the river constantly as they are cleaning cabins, taking care of this huge lawn ( pretty huh )...

As I went to check in my party, the office door was locked (it was noon). As I peered through the door, ringing the bell, I could see leftover plates and trash pilled up. Kind of odd I thought, but I brushed it off. As I meandered around the grounds I found the housekeeper. I introduced myself and told him...

WOW!!!!!! This is a piece of work. Really. You, in your quest to undermine the cottages are doing nothing but stating things that are just not true. NO FISHING!!!!! REALLY????? What in the world are you talking about. What are all those other reviews on the cottages talking about???? Maybe they were dreaming when they said we have the best...

If your looking for fancy this isn't for you but if you love the outdoors and want a real Rocky Mountain experience you can't get any better. The Big Thompson River is right out your back door, elk in your front yard. We stayed five nights, one in the historical log cabin, 4 in cabin #1. Both were perfect. Beverly,...

Well, my wife really liked this place. It is rustic, decorated some years back and has a few issues. However, it did meet our needs and backs up onto Thompson Canyon river. If you're looking for a five star cottage or hotel this isn't it. However if you're looking for a comfortable cabin with a nice bed and bathroom and amazing view this is for you. What a nice review. I know there are places to stay that are not that "Route 66" style but my goodness, think of what they are missing. I have had the cottages for 35 years now and as long as I am able to offer a part of this wonderful property to guests like you, it will remain the same,...
