This place has a retro vibe and really nice accommodations. Short distance to downtown but far enough away for an elk encounter! Very clean, well stocked, and spacious. If you're looking for a home base while exploring local towns and parks, this is the spot. Kitchen, large furnished living space, and comfortable beds.
We stayed one night at this cute little throwback style motel and we were quite comfortable. Our small room was very clean, the bathroom was simple and small but very clean. The staff was very approachable, friendly, helpful. Would definitely stay again.
Convenient location to Estes Park and the RMNP. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and the bed was comfy. The room was cleaned everyday and fresh towels were provided. The lobby had coffee, teas, and several breakfast and snack items.
Stayed in room with king bed and kitchen. Lots of storage space. Clean bathroom. Plenty of space for 2. Well stocked kitchen with gas stove top (no oven). If you plan on cooking, bring your own knife, or a knife sharpener. Housekeeping did an amazing job throughout a 1 week stay. Motel is across the street from a walking/biking trail that takes you into downtown Estes. Less than 1.5 miles. Saw elk and deer multiple times on this path. If you take the path in the opposite direction, you will come upon a pond and great views in every direction. Highly recommend. Will stay here again if visiting The Rockies.
We were in town to visit RMNP and stayed here one night. It is an older motel, but very well kept up. Nice and clean, comfortable beds and pillows. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we were ever in the area.
A great place to stay. Room was clean, employee was friendly and our room had a kitchenette, it was close to everything. We will most definitely stay here again if we come back to Estes Park, Colorado.
This motel seems to be a little older, reminded me of a retro motel you'd see in some far off little town. That being said, I didn't mind it so much. Although, a little old and dated, it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. It seems like attempts to update are in the works, but might be a while. The locks on the door don't automatically lock behind you, and the AC unit in our room was a bit loud (I like 'white-noise'). Did not get to try any of the other amenities like breakfast, but did notice the setup was quite basic. If anything, that will need to be improved. The location was good and the price was good as well. Depending the price of other locations, I would stay here again.
The Saddle & Surrey was perfect for our trip to Estes Park. This cute budget-friendly motel provided everything we needed…a comfy king-sized bed, fridge, microwave and convenient location. Everything was squeaky-clean! There was some traffic noise, but it wasn’t an issue for us. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the complimentary morning coffee and breakfast goodies everyday. We would definitely recommend this motel!
We were pleasantly surprised with this motel. Staff was friendly and efficient. Room was clean and supplied with essentials. Parking right outside our front door!!! Our group stayed here and we were provided with means to gather as a group. We were able to drop our keys off in the morning without waiting for check out. We would definitely stay here again when traveling through Estes Park.
We loved our stay at saddle and surrey! Our room was clean and comfy and the service was exceptional. Having a pool and hot tub was a nice bonus too. Very convienient location if you are visiting RMNP. Would highly recommend this motel!
