Mary's lake is tucked away from maintream Estes Park. I brought my family of 5 and our 33' travel trailer in august 2013 Pros: Great location to the Rock Mountain National Park entrance. Mary's lake is right across the street. Convenient store in the park. Park Ranger frequently patrol the park, but do nothing with speeding vehicles. Cons: Lots are...

Just left there yesterday. they charge $30. for a basic tent site plus $2.00 for a shower that lasts 6 minutes and then $.25 for every 30 seconds after that. The showers are barely warm and operate at about 25% pressure. They worked better before the upgrades. This was our second time at the campground. They need to rework the...

I must start by saying that normally we camp where big RV's and motorhomes can't go. We were camping with friends this trip and they had a fifth wheel. We figured we'd try it out. There are lots of spots in this campground. Some with shade, most without. Not much shade at all for full hook ups. Camp staff is...

If you are just needing a place to sleep since you are out and about. It works. We had a motorhome and were very close to our neighbors. Luckily we had wonderful neighbors so very little issues. NO shade at all. Three night we had very strong winds that rocked our motorhome. Little unnerving! I was disappointed to pay this...

We are new to the camping world and last year when we stayed at Estes Park - East Portal we loved it. We had an awesome campsite nestled in a adequate size spot surrounded by some trees. The bathrooms, although old were clean and showers were included in the price of the spot. This year we rented a bit larger...

First off, let me say I booked this campground for 7 days so I had a pretty good experience of what daily camping here is like. Here are the reasons why this campground wasn't right for me: Problem 1 - This is more of an RV parking lot than campground. A majority of the people staying here are RVs crammed...

We camped at Mary's Lake Campground in June. As noted in other reviews, the sites are small, dirt and rock, no shade. The campground has amenities such as swimming pool, small store, etc., but compared to other similarly priced campgrounds we stayed in during our 10 day tour of the Southwest, the amenities were exceptionally basic in comparison. One item...

This is a nice place especially for car camping and families. Bathrooms and showers were clean and new. Don't expect too much as this place is designed as a sleep and go. Yes, you can hang out here but there you are in Estes Park next door to Rocky Mountain NP and lots of lots of trails, you are not...

This was our first camping trip to Estes Park, so we had no idea what to expect for the long weekend. My wife reserved a spot for us and another next to it for my parents and nephews. The first thing I noticed about the campground was that the trees were a little sparse towards the front part of the...

The campground sites are on a dirt lot with little to no trees and pretty tight. The pool is nice but very cold, even in July. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is nice that you can take the shuttle from the campground pretty much any where you'd like to go in Estes. Be aware that the shuttle does...
