Just 1 night, early-March / off-season. Checked in late, after dark and it was VERY difficult to find the road up the mountain, even with gps - TIP: If unfamiliar with Estes Park, find it during daylight; much easier. Anyway, it was big, quiet, a little creepy, but, also a little cool because you could tell it was a place...

Spent 3 nights to meet up with a buddy in early March to go hiking. Located about 2 minutes from downtown Estes Park and 6 minutes to Rocky Mountain National Park Beaver Meadow visitor center. Grocery store (Safeway) 5 minutes away. My 1-bedroom accommodation had a great view of Lumpy Ridge mountain range. Got a great price for room on...

We stayed here for a few days March of 2017. We love the views! The staff are very friendly. The View restaurant was delicious! I had the filet - it was perfect ❤ The grounds are the perfect setting for the Rockies - wooded with beautiful views. We will certainly stay here again in the future 😊

We loved the lodge. It was everything we hoped in terms of rustic, comfortable mountain experience. The room's amenities were above and beyond with the full kitchenette, including a stove, fridge, and microwave. It was quite cozy - the studio is a perfect size for two people. I can't speak highly enough of the staff. They were very helpful and...

We spent last weekend at The Historic Crags Hotel in Estes Park. We were on the second floor in a small one bedroom. We experienced some noise from the guests above us and were quickly upgraded to a beautiful room on the 3rd floor. The rooms have been remodeled beautifully with all the modern amenities. The hot tub was a...

Two of us stayed for one night in February 2017 in a studio room. It was immaculately clean and we appreciated having the burners and teapot for boiling water and the refrigerator for storing perishables for lunch the next day. The bathroom was roomy with a claw foot tub/shower. Great view of Estes Park and lots of privacy. The room...

Stayed in 1 bedroom. A little small for 2 adults and 2 little kids but ok. The lobby is super cozy to hangout in. Kids enjoyed the pool table, games and free movies to borrow. Would most recommend for couples get away but families will certainly enjoy. Roomy pool area and inviting hot tub with a view.

Came back after our first visit 20 years ago. Very pleased. Nice, clean room. We were in a suite down stairs. Great view from the deck outside the room. Staff was great too. The building is 100 years old but well kept. Expect creaks and various noises form a building of this vintage. Part of the charm though.

This lodge is comfortable. The rooms are average but the staff is very nice. Convenient to have books and DVDs to borrow. Heat was amazing in the middle of winter, almost too warm. Some upgrades might be needed, carpet was worn and bed was pretty squeaky. Restaurant is closed in winter.

We were able to get a Groupon for two nights and it was well worth it. It was quiet, peaceful and had a great staff. The rooms were a nice size with a kitchenette and a little couch to read or watch TV at. There was an outdoor hot tub which was nice to use. I would bet that on...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The lodge is ideally located in the heart of Estes Park on the north side of Prospect Mountain and only minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park. Breathtaking mountain views surround you making this the prefect location for your mountain wedding. The landscape of Rocky Mountain National Park is the steepest in the United States. Sixty mountain peaks over 12,000 feet high result in world-renown scenery and provide challenges for hikers and climbers. The extreme topography creates an amazing range of ecological zones within a short distance, similar to the changes that would be seen in a drive from Denver to northern Alaska. ... more   less
