I'm giving this place an excellent rating because it is plainly and unapologetically what its meant to be: a cheap roadside motel. It is clean and has all the basic amenities, including wifi and a coffee maker. The service at the front desk is fine, don't expect anyone to bend over backwards for you. If you're looking for a cheap...

Greeted and checked in by a friendly gentleman. Room smelled and looked clean. Room 43-nice view of ocean and harbor. Wi-Fi 7.8 mbps @830 pm with moderate occupancy. Mattress comfortable. Not newly remodeled but adequately maintained. Across the street from park and bike path that leads to Battery Point Lighthouse 12 blocks to the West. Good experience. Would stay here...

This motel was decent. It had an ocean view, it was pretty clean, within walking distance to a few stores, restaurants, the city park and the visitors center. There was a slight sewage smell coming from somewhere. Sometimes it was strong and sometimes faint. We always take scented candles with us so we just lit one. I will stay here...

We stayed for on night in one of the oceanview rooms. It was rather large and clean. The view is kind of nice and the surrounding area isn't fancy, but we easily found nice places to eat. Our only problem was a continous kind of beacon sound beeping through the window every ten seconds through the night. It was kind...

At the end of a long day on the road, I made a casual pre inspection of our room and signed in for the night, but I didn't look close enough. My bad! The location was handy, but a little suspect. Rooms at competitive rates seemed to be filling up and this was the 3rd place I looked at. I...

I don't know why people complain about this place. The hotel is close to the beach, the owners are amazing and friendly, and it's an incredibly affordable hotel. Yeah its a little old and needs updating, but it was clean and hospitable and you can't beat the price. Worked great for our stay to visit the ocean and the redwoods....

Room was very clean with clean linen and towels and hot water. Micro/fridge, coffee maker, comfortable bed, pillows not so great. Free wifi (at registration I was told reception not good in this town). It did cut me off a few times. Parking lot not big enough to hold all the cars. Overflow has to go into a parking garage...

At $77 for a queen, this place is still not a good deal. Although a convenient walk to the lighthouse, Seaquake brewpub and Enoteca, the room is along the road with LOTS of street noise and the location is "divey." Other guests this place attracts seem to have no consideration for others. Loud voices, repeatedly slamming car doors, and revving...

Got room with a ocean view. 90$ wasn't bad but the room was dirty. The bed was uncomfortable and screeched every time I moved. There was no AC so we had to sleep with the windows open. Unfortunately the area is full of drunken bums laughing and fighting between the hours of 1am to 6am. (This was a random tuesday...

Yes, we returned for our third stay here since 2013. I have written a review then and happily revisiting this low-budget motel. We called and booked directly with the owner and received some discount on the family suite with ocean view upstairs, the same one we had in 2013. The location and the view made up for the simple, basic,...
