It's hard to know where to begin. Beautiful accommodations with updated features ad great views? Check. Wonderful hosts who take care of all the details and seemingly anticipate your needs? Check. Food that's fresh from their personal orchard and a chef who would make James Beard proud? An extensive array of free snacks, including chocolates in hand tied banana (?)...

Don't miss this place. David and Michael are the best hosts. They have thought of everything. Wonderful views. Wonderful breakfasts. They know the area well and give you all kinds of ideas for things to do. They make your accomodations beyond comfortable. Really extravagant. Loved it and want to go back

We enjoyed staying in the Kanaloa suite which is quite spacious and airy. We spent half our time enjoying its beautiful covered lanai. The perfect place to watch sunsets and experience views of earth sky and water coming all together! It was an interesting experience to stay at the historic home of author/ artist /boat designer Herb Kane. His artwork...

We stayed in the Kane Suite, so named after Herb Kane, an artist, author, and important figure who previously owned this property. The staff, headed by Michael and David, made our stay memorable. Starting the day with a gorgeous view, manicured grounds around their avocado trees, seclusion, a superb breakfast and ending with tropical birds in feeder, a wonderful room,...

Where to start? Our hosts David and Michael could not have been more thoughtful, welcoming, or hospitable. In many ways, large and small, they made our stay memorable. Each morning's multi-course breakfast was insanely great involving fresh ingredients from David and Michael's farm and from nearby farms, freshly baked muffins & cakes, and items cooked with great flair by David...

My husband and I had the most amazing holiday at the Kane Plantation. The Kane Plantation is a B&B on par with a 5-star hotel. The suite is furnished beautifully with a modern, luxurious bathroom. The environment is quiet and intimate, the personalized service is amazing, and the farm-to-table breakfast is exceptional. What I appreciated most were the small details...

When my husband and I decided to visit Hawaii Island for our belated honeymoon, I went on a review hunt to find the perfect place for our stay. After a (very) thorough search of hotels, vacation rentals, and bed and breakfasts, I decided upon Kane Plantation. Aside from the fact that it was centrally located, the photos of the rooms...

I cannot recommend the Kane Plantation Guesthouse enough! Michael and David were the most superb hosts ever. Friendly, informative, thoughtful. Breakfast every morning was extraordinarily delicious and there was something for everyone (amazing local fruit selection, house-made granola, meat, warm pastries, cheese, a gourmet egg dish that varied each day). They put these beautifully arranged fresh flower bouquets in the...

What a treat! From the kindness and cordiality of David and Michael to the mellow service of Cal to the fun presence of the friendly peacock couple...could not have been a better stay. We chose the "Kane Suite" and...WOW...gorgeous, artwork, greenhouse, south Kona view thru swaying palm trees, avocado and mac nut fields with no detail left to chance. Could...
