Great historic building, central location in downtown, nice staff, continental breakfast (toast, bagels, english muffins, cereal and yogurt with beverages) nice historic touches throughout the building but the rooms need some TLC. Spacious rooms, but the beds squeak and are quite noisy just by sitting down. (mattress and box springs do not match, they seem very dated) Bath towels are...

We stayed on the 4th floor. Very very cold, but the good news was that it did aid sleeping (love sleeping in cold rooms). Funky. Lighting was very bad, TV very old, wallpaper stained, windows leaked, bathroom tile cracked and missing. Three towels in the bathroom, although we had booked for 4 people. Breakfast very minimal. People (front desk, young...

This was my second stay at this hotel. The rooms aren't in the best condition but honestly it's an older hotel what do you expect? I love the feel of the hotel. I like how it is designed that the beds and bedding feel like what it would have been like to stay when the hotel was built. Staff was...

We really enjoyed our stay. There's s lot of history here! The staff was very friendly and the service was amazing! The price was right and the room cozy. Housekeeping does a great job keeping the rooms clean and presentable.

We loved this place. Rooms were clean, service was friendly, restaurant and lounge nicely carried through the period theme. A perfect spot for us to research ancestor who came to Pipestone on the Orphan Train! Pipestone Cnty. Historical museum right across the street. BETTY was very helpful.

We stopped after driving 7+ hours. I know the Calumet is an historic building and one of the oldest hotels in MN. The lobby/1st floor and grand staircase and well maintained. Our room was clean, but I think the poor building is in desperate need of love, attention & funding. The shower area was the worst part of the room,...

Staff said they were renovating, but that meant painting over wallpaper. continental breakfast was yesterday's muffins and old apples and oranges. All we can say about the place is that it was quiet...probably because smarter people than us did not stay there! Stay either in Marshall, MN or drive 45 min more to Sioux Falls SD. Please remove Trip Advisor...

We stayed here overnight on a trip to visit historical sites in the area. The outside and downstairs area of the inn are very well cared for and the staircase leading upstairs is amazing. Our room felt tired and needed some TLC. Our dinner in the bar was great and we had a very fun waiter who provided excellent recommendations...

We enjoy getting the antique rooms and have usually been put in on the second floor. Our matress was a little too hard there last night, but our stay other wise was wonderful, good food, very helpful staff, and we didn't even mind the ghost that said "Hello" in our room at 2 am! (hey it was friendly too!) In...

They have made efforts to update this old hotel. Lobby and grand staircase well kept up. Rooms need updating, musty smelling, uncomfortable beds. We could not get our door to lock from the inside. Room was furnished with fridge and microwave as well as iron and ironing board. Bathroom had plenty of towels and soaps and everything was clean. Great...
