The good: It's got lots of character, especially in a small town like Pipestone. Everyone was really nice and accommodating. The shower products were good quality. They allow pets. The not so good: The walls are pretty thin so you hear all the creaks and sounds from the outside, the hotel is old (which give it character in a way)...

A lovely hotel - not a modern place with all the bells and whistles, but lots of small town charm, grace and comfort, including free wifi, free breakfast and an in-room kitchenette. Very quiet, lovely toiletries, and a gracious front desk staff.

I love historic buildings and hotels which is why I chose this hotel. Disappointed that I could not rent one of the antique rooms because my dog was with me but that's ok. The room I was given was on the third floor, it was ok but definitely needed updating and repairs. Hole in the closet doors, very worn furniture,...

I love old buildings so this is a pretty great place! hotel is located in the downtown area, close to and easy to walk to nearby shops. The rooms are big and clean and the bathrooms are modern and clean. The bed was nice, cozy and comfortable.

Hotel is located in the downtown area, close to and easy to walk to nearby shops. It is a historic hotel and I believe in the process of needed updates. Our room was acceptable, but needed some updates. We were looking forward to having dinner in the dining room, but unfortunately is was closed due to a private party. The...

This is a strange but pretty great place! The hotel is in a beautiful, old historic building. It is right in the middle of the historic downtown and is a beautiful spot to stay. The rooms are big and clean and the bathrooms are modern and clean. The beds are comfortable and nice and big. Because the building is old...

I love old buildings and wanted to stay here for the historic aspect. The building is cool and the stone beautiful. The staff was very nice. That being said, the room scared us! It was too dark and dingy. The lamp shades are cracked, the beds and pillows are old, the carpets scary, furniture old and chipped, etc. It was...

Excellent prices, great service, wonderful rooms, rich history, but above all, amazing food. This lady has no complaints and will most certainly return. The check in and check out processes were easy and very relaxing. The rooms include free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a mini fridge and microwave, and every other amenity to be expected. Nice and clean. The chef is...

We had a great time on a one day getaway. It was nice to include the pooch. The staff was exceptional. All were kind pleasant and helpful. The hotel is old and gorgeous. The room we had was average but very clean. I would stay in one of the antique or theme/haunted rooms next time.

I don't understand the bad reviews (there are only a few) because they're obviously from people who want to stay in a boring modern hotel. This is old, antique, haunted and historic. It has character! And while some wallpaper may be inclined to peel off it is very clean and well maintained. The food is great and the staff were...
