We stayed here for the opening weekend of Balloon Fiesta 2014 and we loved our stay. The front desk staff was so nice and accommodating. We got pleasant hellos from all hotel staff and offers for help with luggage and information on the Balloon Fiesta. When 4:30 am came around there were sacks of continental breakfast to go ready for... More

It was a little tricky to get to with nearby construction. The parking was great, and I walked right up to the front desk. I then had to wait while the man behind the desk answered several phone calls. He was not pleasant at all when he checked me in, and he did not comment on my Elite status or... More

Stayed here for business and we had a business breakfast meeting here. The staff was great and attended to every detail for our breakfast. Food was very good as well. As for the rooms, they are a little on the older side and there is a lot of construction on the roads that make it a little tricky getting in... More

I stayed in this hotel many times when it was still a Holiday Inn and I guess I expected that because Marriott now owned it that they would have made it even better then it was before. I was certainly fooled. Upon arrival I was struggling getting all our luggage out of the car and there was no service personnel... More

Rooms were right out the 80's, green carpet wall paper, cheap old doors, nothing special heres except for the exellent Marriott beds and linens. I would expect more from the Marriott chain, other than a great bed. This place needs to be updated, including the lobby , bar, pool......But good for a comfortable sleep, and classic excellent service.

Dear Grant L, Thank you for staying with us and for sharing your thoughts. Our decor is more of a southwest style in keeping with our area, which many people enjoy, but we understand that many guests also like the modern look. You will find, however, they we offer all the "today" technology features that a Marriott offers and a... More

We stayed here as part of a group room block for a weekend event away from the hotel. This property has the large block open atrium layout you'd find in a former Embassy Suites. Rooms were OK if tired, pillows worn out. Food in restaurant and concierge lounge was at the low end of expectation for similar properties. No PBS... More

Dear sss45, Thank you for the feedback on your stay with us. We are sorry that the construction disturbed your stay with us. This hotel is right off I-25 - a great location to get around Albuquerque and to get to Santa Fe. Right now (Sept 2014) the traffic is a mess around there because of a massive construction project that will be going on for at least another year. There are ways to get around the traffic - just ask. The rooms... More

Really enjoyed my stay. Big and clean rooms. Nice gym. Great places to run. Not many options for food close by and lots of constructions close by but the hotel is really nice. Staff is helpful and kind. You have to pay for dinner and breakfast if you don't have Marriott status but food is fantastic and worth it

Tnis is not one of Marriott's "best" hotels. The renovation from a former brand did improve the rooms and restaurant but the management does not pay enough attention to things like ambient smoke-aromas in the room.
