Don't come for the old tired rooms. Come for the pool, the staff, the quiet university campus surrounding the property. The university should buy the property and add another building to their beautiful campus.

Fair rooms, but nice pool and hot tub. Had to pay for laundry facilities. Located in a fair area, but wasn't impressed with the surrounding area. The staff and service of the facility was very good. Had limited things to do at the resort for a family and not a lot of things in the surrounding area to do. Spent...

While not a new place, the two-story buildings are owned by a couple living on-site. He is very helpful and friendly. The city is historic, but the neighborhood is dominated by new college buildings, some under construction. The public campus is beautiful and includes water and public walkways, and numerous birds.

We were satisfied of the size and amenities of the unit. The unit showed some age & general upkeep needs however was quiet & nice sized rooms. The checkin & checkout went well. We liked the location especially area to walk around nearby college campus with local history. This place is close to Mexico & good location to get to...

We checked in for a weeks stay, unloaded our suitcases to the upper floor. It was dark, very dated (70's) at best and the room smelled horribly. We looked around and in the dimly lit bedroom I found myself attracted to a moving object on the floor. It was a cockroach. Immediately picking our suitcases up and heading for the...

The condo is in between two colleges where the old fort used to be. Some of the college buildings still use some of the old buildings. The condo is old, but has been updated and is very nice. Our unit has two flat screen tv's and every thing you need for cooking. The pool is small but nice. There is...

The cleaning staff was excellent. If we had a problem it was immediately taken care of. However, there was times when we feel the room could have been cleaned better. We did get what we paid for in other words it wasn't a five star establishment. The location was adequate. It was close to a University not a crime ridden...

This place is old and although some efforts have been made to renovate and replace some things, its age shows everywhere. But the bed was comfortable enough to get a good night's sleep and the staff is pretty friendly. Our unit did not have a working smoke detector (battery was very old) and when we notified the manager, nothing was...

We spent a week in Feb 2016. The place is showing its age. We had first floor unit. Our unit did not have window locks on the street side which would allow one to slide open the window from the outside. It did have an iron grate on inside of window, but it is easily pushed open. There was a...

My wife and I are experienced travelers and are well aware of booking condo's through RCI. The Fort Brown condo's in Brownsville should not even be an option. After checking in and carrying our suitcases upstairs, we stepped into a room that was last furnished sometime in the sixties. Very small, cramped and outdated. After much discussion we both decided...
