While the Radisson Hotel Salt Lake City Airport has received mixed feedback, many guests have expressed concerns about the inconsistent service, particularly regarding shuttle timeliness and unfulfilled service requests, despite encountering some friendly staff. The rooms are often described as dated and in need of refreshment, with guests pointing out cleanliness and functionality issues. The hotel's amenities draw a mixed response; some guests are satisfied with the restaurant and shuttle service, while others find the breakfast lackluster and the facilities outdated.
The atmosphere is viewed by some as stuck in the early 90s with a somber decor, though others find the rooms to be spacious. Additionally, questions about the overall value arise due to the extra cost of breakfast and the aging nature of the hotel.

Detailed Reviews
My family had an early morning flight home, so we needed to stay near the Airport for 1 night. After comparing a few hotels, I chose Radisson based on the room size, location & appearance of higher value. For the amount I paid, I felt that this Hotel was just average & slightly over priced.
Pros: The location is convenient for the Airport, the entry lobby is nice, there were 2 complimentary bottles of water & a coffee packet in our room. The room was large, but there wasn’t any additional seating or use of the extra space. The room & furniture were in overall good condition but there were a few cosmetic issues.
Cons: The lower level parking garage & elevator appeared dirty, the door to my room had a big dent & scratch on it, there was a large unpainted patch on the ceiling. There was a bright light directly outside of our window shining into our room & the blackout curtain had a hole in it. The sound proofing between rooms & the hallway was not good.
None of these items were major complaints & overall my experience was fine. However, the room was about 40 dollars more than other comparable Hotels. I thought I was paying a bit more for higher quality, but this was an average experience.

I did not have a bad experience. My room was clean and spacious and I was quite comfortable. Was impressed by a metal ice bucket and glass tumblers. But for a hotel which was renovated only three years ago, I was surprised at dings and scratches in the elevator and worn holes in bed’s comforter. I was disappointed the drapes could not be drawn to darken the room from vehicle lights on the interstate. A large safety pin could have fixed this, see photo. This is not a deal breaker for getting four stars but what pushed me over to leaving this rating was to learn breakfast is not included at a third party booked rate. I did not realize my office booked via another party. The email they sent me promised breakfast. I made a screen shot of my booking details which included breakfast but find I can not attach it here or I would have. It may seem like a small thing to quibble over and I appreciate how you’d prefer us to book directly, but I was just the corporate traveler who has enjoyed free breakfasts at lower echelon chains on many occasions and I’d anticipated a higher standard at Radisson from all I’ve heard and felt the victim of petty nickel and diming. So, not a bad review but not a good review. It could have been worse and it could have been better.

I want to like this hotel more, and it's actually got some important things they get right. For instance, the most important thing to me is that the bed is comfortable and this one was excellent. I like the fact that I could get a noon check-in (for $25). The free breakfast served scrambled eggs that were excellent, the bread was excellent and not generic white bread but almost artisan (although oddly no toaster). I got a loft room that was remote and pretty well insulated for sound, and kind of different for a chain hotel room. The front desk was helpful and courteous. It's very convenient to both the airport and downtown, I think they have a shuttle but I didn't use it.
Now for the bad. The first thing you notice is that the hotel overall seriously needs some TLC. It's ugly, worn, and dated, both inside my room and the common areas. I can't believe that Radisson would allow this level of deterioration. My room was dark and the I couldn't open the curtains sufficiently to lighten it up.
So overall, I liked the place but it has some drawbacks. I would stay again but someone pickier than me may find the overall condition of the hotel to be too disappointing.

Clean, quite, reasonable price, and the best location if you have an early flight out. We prefer the SLC Airport Radisson as it is located next to a Trax rail stop that gets us to the SL airport with no stops (5 minutes). And will get us to downtown SL the night before for dinner and a night out (i.e., no driving). And they will allow you to park a car at the hotel (with a room) for a few days at a very reasonable cost.

I booked this room using credit card points. We were very excited to spend the night at a Radisson hotel before our flight the next day. The hotel was a huge disappointment. Our first room had no air conditioning, and a sign on the thermostat telling guests to not adjust it. We were moved to another room when we requested it (also with a sign on the thermostat telling guests to not adjust it) but the hotel clerk was clearly not happy we had used the bathroom while waiting for the first room to hopefully cool. Check in took at least 1/2 hour with one clerk checking in another guest and talking on his mobile phone. The hallway had peeling wallpaper everywhere (I have pictures if you would like them), caulk spread in places without any finishing, and our bathroom had cracked and missing grout on the tile floor, and caulk covering the grout in the tub area over very mildewed areas. When I asked about restaurants in the area, the front desk clerk told me about the Italian restaurant they had in the lobby, without giving me any other options. There was no one in the restaurant area, but we decided to try it. There were happy hour specials advertised, but when we inquired further the one person working in there said that they didn't serve alcohol and "he hoped that was OK with us." We never saw any other guests eating in the restaurant, and we decided to find another place ourselves.
We have always felt the reputation of Radisson hotels made it an easy choice to choose in any location. In fact, I didn't even bother checking any reviews simply because it was a Radisson hotel. However this hotel seemed very poorly managed, with limited staff training (no one greeted us, wore a name tag, or any form of hotel identification) and very poorly maintained facilities. While the rooms themselves seemed to be clean, the peeling wallpaper and the bathroom tile and mildew were not appealing.

This hotel NEEDS to be updated. Not clean - there was dried blood on the chair cushion, floor was dirty, hotel is poorly kept. No hairdryer or kleenex to be found anywhere. One washcloth, one hand towel ...... for a two person reservatrion.
Not much to say that is positive.

So after Delta canceled our flight without any notice, we were sent to this hotel. It looked nice from the outside. However when we got inside the window was stuck open. And the blinds didn’t close all the way and just had sheer curtains for about a third of the window space. The room we were assigned had bright lights shining in through the sheer curtains.
Since we left my bags packed with my toothbrush at the airport, they charged me two dollars for the crappiest toothbrush you’ll ever find.
None of that was too big a deal, however, the part that sucked was that we signed up for a 6am shuttle the night before. At no time was I told that I needed to be there earlier than that. My husband arrived in the lobby at 6:00am sharp. I was one minute behind him. When my husband arrived he was told that the shuttle had left at 5:58am even though both our names were reserved on the shuttle. At no time were we told to be there 10 minutes early, and at no time did they try contacting us to see if we were still coming. The SLC airport is packed Sunday mornings, so we had the option of getting an Uber or risk missing our rebooked flight due to waiting a half hour for the next shuttle. I forgot to mention that what appeared to be a basic breakfast in the lobby was not the typical free breakfast hotels typically provide, but one they charge $9 a person for. The tables did have tiny signs saying that, but there was no large sign for the average person to see and since it was laid out and looked like a mediocre free breakfast most other hotels serve you will want to be aware of that.

I called a few days before arrival to make sure reservation was secure the person on the phone at the front desk was very short with me and hung up on me the first time I called then he sounded disappointed when I called back. When we arrived he was arrogant and short with us..found out his name was Gonosh . we had reserved two rooms ; in one the air conditioner didn't work so we were moved to another room where the air conditioner wouldn't turn off so when we returned to our room it was ice cold. There was one blanket in the closet and none in the other room so we went to the desk and asked for another blanket and Gonosh said he
would get us one tomarrow!! there was no complimentary coffee and don't expect a free breakfast that will cost you $9. the pool is very small nothing like the picture on the web site and no hot tub. This hotel was awful. Pulled up and the outside was promising. The lobby seemed okay except for the very strong fragrance. The halls to the rooms had heavily stained carpets that were in dire need of vacuuming. The wallpaper on the walls was bubbling and peeling. The paint was in poor shape and some of the doors looked like they needed to be replaced. Got into our room. It smelled like smoke. There was old soap and shampoo in the sink and shower. The new bottles of shampoo and conditioner had broken seals, so likely reused. The linens were stained and lumpy. The towels were small and scratchy. The remote didn't work, and the advertised pool was closed. Wifi worked intermittently. Breakfast was not included. We paid for breakfast and wish we hadn't. There was a big box of random plastic utensils that looked like they were reused. The coffee was horrible. The orange juice was some kind of fake nasty Tang and the food was just all-around bad. The buffet area was unkempt and dirty as were the tables. Not a single table was wiped down between uses. I hate to be so negative as I am usually pretty easy about hotels, but this place is really bad, dirty, and in need of repair. Also, there doesn't seem to be any desire to retain customers. I will never stay here again.

My room appeared clean, the mattress wasn’t overly uncomfortable, breakfast was okay and the shower was fine, so I might consider staying there again in the event of an emergency/ if there were literally no other available options.
The front desk staff were extremely condescending and patronizing toward me during each interaction (I’m a woman.)
A housekeeping staff member and her teenage daughter (?) walked into my room unannounced (using a key card, as my door was closed) 2 hours after check in to “make sure the room was clean,” which was obviously super uncomfortable and left me questioning whether the room was in fact clean (it did appear to be…) I went downstairs to notify the front desk staff, and as I was heading back to my room I saw/ heard him laughing with the other 2 male staff at the desk from the top of the stairs. The walls are quite thin - a man in the room next to mine was having a super loud phone conversation late into the night, I had to turn on a podcast in order to get to sleep. I was too uncomfortable at that point to ask the staff for their help with the matter.
I wouldn’t willingly spend money at this Radisson location.
The man working in the breakfast area in the morning was very polite, I want to acknowledge him for being the only staff member with whom I had a positive interaction.
