This Marriott is clearly in need of an update. Decor is old and beginning to take on that musty smell and its lacking basic things like a refrigerator in the room (even in the suites). However, some older hotels really "let themselves go" if you will and this one is doing its best to stay as clean and functional as...

I was here for the half marathon race and this Marriott was the designated hotel for this race. The location was very good (can walk to the train station which would take you to the start line and it was a short walk from the finish back to the hotel) and downtown SLC is very walkable. I didn't need the...

I stay at this hotel whenever I am in SLC because it is not only the best Marriott but really is the best hotel in the city. It is very centrally located and offers great amenities and amazing service for a regular Marriott hotel. This time I was upgraded to a suite on the concierge level and all gold members...

The decor is straight from 1985, and is looking v worn. Restaurant staff was very friendly, but the rest of the staff not so much. If my Marriott profile states that I want a quiet room, why would you put me in a room next to housekeeping? And, if my profile also states that I have allergies, why would all...

Originally, I was happy to book this hotel because of the great location. Unfortunately, booking a room turned out to be difficult. You can only book 'King or 2 Queens'. I emailed and asked for two queens and got no response. Arrived from Australia to be given a King room. When I questioned this they told me nothing is guaranteed....

Dear SVHWOS, Thank you for sharing your most recent experience with us here at the Salt Lake Marriott City Center. I am sorry to hear of the challenges you had during your stay. In reviewing the last several weeks’ history, I am unable to locate any Friday’s with a lack of double-doubles being available for guests. I would appreciate a...

If I'm headed to London or NYC, I expect a smaller regular hotel room. But Salt Lake? I was surprised at the size of one of their regular rooms, especially for what seems to be a newer hotel. It's in a central location, and it's clean. The service was just good.

Dear RalphandMark, Thank you for taking the time to share your most recent experience with us. I am sorry to hear that the square footage of your room was less than satisfactory during your stay. We are happy to announce the property will be going through a renovation in the near future. Once complete, this may give the room a...

You can't beat the location of this hotel right in downtown SLC. Check-in went smoothly and we found our room clean and comfortable with a good view of downtown. The room had many amenities as one would expect. The club lounge was unfortunately closed for the weekend however we were offered a coupon for the restaurant. For the price this...

I had an amazing stay at this beautiful hotel. I was very sick while I was traveling and was not exacted about my trip. However, when I arrived, I was greeted with a great staff and was quickly checked into my room where I was able to relax in the big comfortable bed, the roomy and spotless shower, and a...

This is a beautiful hotel -- following along with the Marriott standard. But this hotel is set apart because of their manager, Doug Koob and his staff. He has produced a culture where customers are treated with great respect and if their is a problem-- he makes sure it is solved! Not "anybody" can be so kind to a "nobody"...

This hotel is great! I loved my room. Comfortable bed, plenty of counter space in the bathroom. My only negative was the so called coffee pot inside the dresser. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.
