Well-appointed room with a view of lovely trees, golf course and overlooking the hot tub/pool. Room was clean and had almost everything I needed, except enough coffee, including a small refrigerator and microwave. Standard fare for breakfast. I was charged $50 for "incidentals," yet there were no incidentals to purchase, so I asked at the desk when I checked out. My receipt showed a refund of the full $50. She said it is basically a damage deposit. Hallway noise spills over into the room but the room was large and comfortable, with a sitting area, desk, bathroom with adjoining vanity.
This place is one of those lovely cozy places and I hate to give it a 5 star review because I don't want other people to find out about and make it unavailable if I want/need to stay somewhere in Port Angeles again. The rooms seem to have just been redone. Everything is in tip top condition! The breakfast, while it is the same basics as most free hotels, w/ the eggs, make your own waffles, etc, just seems a notch above, like, they knew how to cook the eggs and add to them so they looked (and were) edible and great! Plus the little things like syrup and salt and pepper etc ON the tables. The little things. A nice fire in the fireplace (December after all) and warm colors all around. The folks at the front desk were most helpful. Just a super place to stay!!! So, please don't. :)…
Stayed here for 2 night and it was such a beautiful hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean and very quiet. Our room overlook the golf course and was so pretty with the trees and grounds. The breakfast was also very good and the staff was very friendly. The lobby was also beautiful and cozy with it's large fireplace and leather chairs. Would stay here again the next time we travel to Port Angeles.
We stayed for two nights in king size bed unit facing the golf course. There is absolutely nothing to complain about, everything was about perfect. The total surprise was included full breakfast. Frankly we did not eat lunch, enough to last until dinner.
We had a king size room with a view of the golf course and roaming deer! Very pretty. The room was clean and the lobby very nice with a pool and hot tub that we did not have time to use. The breakfast was decent with both hot and cold options available in a nice room. The staff were all friendly and we felt it was a good value. Would recommend it.
This property is convenient to Olympic National Park. The rooms were up to date and comfortable. The breakfast provided was standard fare, but good. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. They provided a good list of local restaurants. The lobby area has wonderful leather couch seating and is great for conversation or relaxing.
The builder of this hostelry right on Hwy 101 in Port Angeles spared no detail to afford it an elegant look and feel, and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The full breakfast is a real plus, and reminiscent of fine old hotels. Only negative: TV choices and pictures are not good. Desk said they are working on that. Ask for room on rear soide facing golf course and mountains.
Our second-floor room overlooking the golf course was perfect for our needs. I don't like brown decor but this brown with a nature theme was actually rather nice. They don't have a coin laundry but otherwise, was perfect.
Port Angeles seems to have a few gems for hotels in this working port town and the Olympic Lodge seems to be in this league. Lovely PNW lobby with grand windows. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room was very clean and great view of the golf course from the window. Breakfast was very substantial and opened early enough so we could arrive at Hurricane Ridge early enough to find parking at the last lot before the hike. Some billing questions occurred when I arrived home and this was quickly resolved by Jade without a big fuss. Note a $50 deposit is added upon arrival but this is also quickly removed after checkout. It is a quick and easy drive to downtown to find dinner along the waterfront.
Picked it due to its vicinity to Hurricane Ridge which we wanted to explore. Also just few minutes drive to Port Angeles waterfront where we took the Puget Sound Express one half day for whale watching. Sol Duc Falls a bit over an hour away, went to Cape Flattery (most northwestern point in contiguous US) and Shi Shi beach (2 hours) so location wise unless you want to go rainforest, doesn't get much better. Breakfast ok, rooms spacious but a bit dark and expensive given we stayed in summer when everything is fully booked.
