We were in Port Angeles for my birthday and spend our first night camping (9/23). That went horribly so we needed to get a hotel and this was the one we could afford. The good: Beds were clean, room is a decent size, everything worked, staff ‘seemed’ friendly enough, location is in a good spot. The bad: It was $221 for 2 nights, for a 1 bedroom w/ 2 adults. We checked out yesterday morning and my deposit is still MIA (they told me I’d get it back as soon as I checked out, I did not. Then they said today, and it hasn’t came back today.. so yeah). NO AIR CONDITIONING; just fans. They decided to tar the parking lots and had us move out car to the far side during our stay but made us pay full price.. The rooms are very outdated. Bring your own toilet paper if you don’t like using see-through toilet paper. Also, if you’re the owner and you’re reading this, I’ll be disputing the entire transaction if you do not supply me with a refund for our stay. We overpaid for and underwhelming stay, where we could literally smell the tar through our closed window, lied to, and taken advantage of financially because you were the only hotel with a room open for that first night and raised the price to an unreasonable amount for your MOTEL. You have 24 hours to give me a refund before I put the dispute through my bank.…
We were pleasantly surprised with this motel, much better than our chain motel in Seattle. Very clean, nicely decorated and arranged. The staff were great. It's on the main street so there is street noise from cars but very little after 10 pm or so. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 was because the walls are a little thin but would definitely recommend the Riviera motel!
A spacious, very clean room with a fairly comfortable bed. It’s nice that it has a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Nice furniture and TV. What’s missing is the Air Conditioner!! They supply 2 stand up fans and a window fan, but the proximity of the road makes it impossible to use the window fan without a terrible racket from traffic! Without AC the room becomes very humid and stuffy quickly. Also, I’m not sure how big their hot water heater is but we ran out of hot water every time we showered, whether it was morning or night. It looks like the owners are trying to update the rooms because there are construction materials strewn around in haphazard places. It has good potential but the rooms need AC and they need to clean up the construction materials.
Needed a reasonable priced place to stay in PA and it was that. Every part of the Inn need updating. They should start with painting the building and fixing the outdoor runs. The rooms were clean but the beds are tired as well as the furniture. If you need a place to rest your head for a night at a reasonable cost then its good. I would not want to stay much longer.
Worst hotel we ever stayed in. AC was a floor-stand fan. No lights in bathroom, towel rack had been ripped off wall and not replaced. Hair dryer had flames shooting out of it. No hangers - front desk attendant David stated “we don’t advertise hangers in the room.” Staff tries to help but no execution skills. There are a lot of hotels in Port Angeles - try any of them before this place. Major disappointment.
We enjoyed our stay. From the steps and the outside door, it did not look like much, but inside it was nice. There was some extra counter space, and the shower looks like it had just been redone and was nice. Some of the towel bars were a little loose, but overall it was a nice enough place to stay. The motel staff was very helpful with check in and also when I had a question. Our room was really close to the main road, so it was a little loud at night, but overall we enjoyed our two night stay.
Goods: clean, comfortable enough, they provided a fan (we like it for the white noise), small fridge and microwave; able to park close to the room; good ice machine; friendly person at check-in Not-so-goods: very tiny shower with little water pressure, no bathroom shelf to put your stuff, broken towel holder. Fine if you just need a place to shower and sleep on a budget, but there were a lot of little fixes they could do to make it more accommodating.
Weeks before my stay I booked a night at the Riveria Hotel through Expedia. The hotel called at 2:30pm asking me to confirm that I would be there that night. The problem is I was hiking at Hurricane Ridge where cell phone coverage is patchy. I got down from Hurricane Ridge at about 6pm and discovered my room had been given away at 4pm because I did not return the call. This put me in a bad situation where most of the hotels in were full, the nearest sizeable town was hours away and I had to pay alot more for a mediocre hotel. I had family members with me and I needed a place to stay that night. I have never been taken advantage of like this anywhere hotels usually hold a room until much later don't stay here. My credit card was frozen due to a suspicious charge but I had a debit card and alot of money in the bank, paying for the hotel would not have been a problem. Most people have more than one card so a frozen credit card shouldn't be a deal breaker.…
Stayed 3 nights as a launching place for Olympic National Park and Crescent Lake. Very clean rooms. Super helpful, friendly owner/manager. Within walking distance of coffee and park overlooking Sound. Out room was an upstairs suite with an air conditioning unit which was very nice. Pillows and bedding very comfortable. I’d recommend this hotel for sure. Not fancy but very nice.
Was fine for one night. Old place, but room was clean. Glad I didn’t have to stay a second night in the rubbery mattress. The front desk lady was fabulous! Very personable and helped us decide on dinner and entertainment. Give her a raise! You don’t want to lose her!
