My husband and I wanted a quiet weekend with a bit of luxury, and our expectations were exceeded! We loved the General's Suite with a kitchenette and private entrance, but our favorite part was stepping right out onto the deck with waterfront view. We also loved the over-sized spa tub; agree with other reviews that the shower is awkward, but...

This is a great get-away from the Seattle area. Right on the coast, with an almost story book view of the Sound, this was a very nice location. The presence of the lavender fields on the property. I think what I enjoyed the most was the quiet and the atmosphere of the breakfast setting, where we talked with ease with...

We booked the General's suite here. Very comfortable and cozy room with private entrance. Fantastic grounds surround this B&B including their exquisite lavender farm. Spectacular views of the Straight of San Juan de Fuca and the Olympics. The owners are very kind and take meticulous care of the entire operation. We did not partake in the breakfast but heard from...

Thank you for being our guest and for taking the time to leave a review. We value your feedback. The General's Suite is the only room that has a combined tub/shower where the shower head is above the two-person spa tub. All of the other rooms have a separate shower, so this would have alleviated your disappointment. There is so...

We were welcomed by hospitable and gracious Inn Keepers Janet and Dan, after driving down the beautiful entryway/driveway of wild flowers and lavender that you won't find anywhere else. Spent relaxing mornings and evenings sitting outside the Martha Washington room with a spectacular view out the back overlooking the Strait of Juan Fuca, with its fishing boats and ocean ships....

There are many bed and breakfast inns across the United States. Few rise to a level of excellence that is noteworthy. The George Washington Inn in Port Angeles, Washington is clearly the exception to any rule. On a scale of one to ten, this inn rates a thirteen. The inn is a replica of George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate and...

We spent three nights in early June at the Inn. Had a wonderful time. Janet is most helpful, accommodating and a wonderful cook! We stayed in the President's Suite which has views of the Strait as well as the Mountains. This room is very large and comfortable. We believe the Inn is only 8 years old--everything is in perfect condition...

Thanks for staying with us and we will look forward to your return! It was a delight to share the President's Suite with you. Glad you found it to be comfortable and spacious. Our lavender is early this year, so you were able to also enjoy some purple color as well. We hope to see you next year!

What an oasis of peace and tranquility in the midst of million dollar 360 degree views to the sea and the mountains. The breakfasts are the best and the kindness and friendliness of the innkeepers is superb. Only short trips are required to get to great National Park sites and then back to a place to unwind in amazing beauty...

Thank you Peter for your kind words! You folks were a pleasure to host and we are delighted that you found the inn and surroundings to be a quiet and relaxing oasis. It's been almost a year since my family and I stayed at the George Washington Inn, and the wonderful memories of that short stay now prompt me to finally put pen to paper. Based on TA reviews, we booked three rooms and used the Inn as our basecamp for trips to the Olympic National Park and to Vancouver. After more...

It is a delight to read your review, James! Even more amazing is the fact that your stay at the inn made such an impression that you took time to recall your experience nearly a year later. It's indeed an honor to hear you describe it as the best bed and breakfast that you've ever booked in all your extensive...

When I was doing research for a possible short get away to this area of Washinton, it was a done deal upon finding the George Washington Inn. Yes, I'm a lavender junkie but also love being in the great outdoors and being lavished in luxury. You get it all at the GWI. I don't think any other lodging could boast...
