These are the comments I submitted to the General Manager: "We checked in on August 18 and had requested 2 queen beds in a pet friendly room, only to find we were mistakenly booked in a king bed room. The clerk was able to find a room with 2 queens. We moved our things in. Then we noticed 3 dirty towels - one with black stains, one with a pink stain (wondering if it was left over blood), and a black pair of dirty pants with rips next to the bed (between the bed and the bathroom). The room smelled musty and it was difficult negotiating in it with the over sized furniture (Room 114). Due to the lack of cleanliness we found, we were not wanting to touch anything in the room nor use the beds. I went to the front desk to report this and requested a refund as we were not willing to stay there. The clerk said there was a $50 fee for cancellation. I was astounded and relayed that I would not pay for a room with dirty towels and old pants left on the floor. The clerk waived the $50 fee and returned my entire booking fee. Your hotel room cleanliness is unacceptable. In addition, it is in need of outdoor cleaning, maintenance, and painting."…
We booked a room in this hotel to stay one night before leaving for Victoria on the ferry the next day. Upon arrival, we found boxes and trash piled under the stairwell heading to our second floor room. When we entered the room, we found a LARGE hole punched in the bathroom door. One of the two queen beds had obviously been slept in (hair and bodily fluids). We requested clean sheets and remade the bed ourselves. We travel very frequently, and this was truly an awful hotel experience. We would not recommend and would not stay again (try the Red Lion right down the street!).
Yucky carpet and no mask enforce at the desk. Out of 5 customers I was the only one wearing one. Rooms stunk of smoke and hobos in parking lot. Wouldn’t stay again but bed clean snd nice at least. Dated
The passable: Microwave & minifridge in room. It’s in good proximity to Hurricane Ridge hikes - but then, all Port Angeles hotels are. Safeway, Taco Time, Wendy’s are nearby plus more moderate restaurants (the Safeway deli case has the best grab-and go sandwiches though). The bad: Front desk staff did not wear masks (well, one wore it on his mouth only; the other had it around her neck). Despite it being August, the pool and hot tub were both closed (the hotel website made no mention of this). We stayed 4 days and our room was never cleaned. The place is LOUD, both from people talking/suitcase rolling immediately outside and apparently moving furniture in the room above. Room 135 specific: there are what appear to be blood spots above the headboard on one bed [see photo] and on bed skirt of the other. The toilet is missing its wax ring so when you sit and get up, unless you’re careful, it will “thunk” and awaken your family. There were tiny black ants crawling on nightstand and across the computer keyboard I’d left in the room. I will NEVER stay here again.…
This hotel was older and sketchier-looking than I expected based on the photos on the website. It's a bit of a maze to find your room and it was noisy with kids running up and down the hallways outside the room. My biggest complaint is that there was almost no where to plug in a phone, let alone all our other cameras and electronics. The room was completely out of Kleenexes when we checked in and the tv didn't work. While the room was very old and run down looking, it did appear to be clean and the beds and towels were okay. I also had some issues with the reservation process. I booked directly through the hotel's website and never got a confirmation e-mail. I thought I maybe never hit submit so I booked another room and didn't get a confirmation e-mail again. When I called to check, I had booked both rooms. I asked them to cancel one and they wouldn't do it over the phone (weird) but said I had to do it online. I couldn't find a way to do this so I e-mailed them. I didn't get a response to my first e-mail but did finally get them to cancel it with a second e-mail. I finally got the confirmation e-mails for both rooms about 2 weeks later.…
Check was fine abs the guy on reception was polite and friendly. The room was absolutely dismal tho. While the bed sheets seemed clean and it was pretty comfy in bed, the rest of the room was FILTHY and literally falling apart. There were bugs on the carpet, it was dirty. The bathroom door was covered entirely in heavy (and very colourful) mould and the whole room stank of mould and rot and ashtray. We arrived after a busy day so we were so tired we just slept but as soon as we woke up we took off for fear of contracting a rare infection the longer we stayed there. This is what nightmares are made of. At the very least, the WiFi was actually good.
This was a 3 family trip. It was one of the worst experiences ever. Check in supposed to be 3 pm. Couldn't get checked in until almost 5 pm!!! Rooms are old, tub and shower curtains disgustingly dirty, looks like someone peed on the wall next to the bed, paint scraped off, holes in carpet, coffee pods provided did not work and overflowed as they were the wrong kind (complained to manager who knew of the coffee issue). Way over priced at nearly $300 for two nights in a single queen bed room. $60 per night would be too much. Pool and hot tub green and closed because they don't have anyone to take care of it although they claim it's in maintenance. Never ever would any of us stay here again and you got over $1,200 out of my family!! Clean it up!
Dirty spiders and earwigs. Thank hod we had just bought new bedding for our trip we had to use it. The carpet was so gross we we didn't take our shoes off. The bath tub had snot and boogers all over the wall. The only good thing was the ac worked. The pool was also out of order on a 105 degree day. Dont stay here sleep in your car .
Saw olympic inn and suites nothing in the name says what is on the internet! Pictures are not the same as on the website. We got here and it says days inn on the front the room we got was a ki g deluxe room ya a king bed nothing else same days inn room! Coffee is a keruig coffee maker but they hand you a bag of instant coffee um ya no
My stay was very good, the room was clean and the staff were friendly. It is located near every convenience you could need. While staying, I found out it was under new ownership and it shows! Major improvements have already been done with more in progress from the looks of it. Highly recommend!
