The room we checked into had a very uncomfortable bed. we could feel the spring coils from the bed. We asked for a different room. The bed here wasn't much better. The vinyl chair was broken and uncomfortable. When we turned the fan on in the room, there was an unpleasant smell. The room was campy, dingy and quite small. The shower stall was unpleasant and small. My wife is 5'2" and had to duck her head to get under the shower head while taking a shower. Only a double bed. No front window in this room. Only one night was all we could deal with. This wasn't the motel we imagined when we read so many good reviews... What a waste of our time and money!
One of my better motel experiences. Our room at All View was spacious, bright and clean. There was no AC so we kept the window opened; but then we could hear neighbors as they walked by. A bit odd but not a deal breaker at all. Convenient location to/from Olympic National Park.
After checking out of The Quinault Lodge early because of a bad experience, we were lucky to find any rooms available from Aberdeen to Port Townsend. We took a chance on the All View Motel because of its reviews and, frankly, because we didn't have another choice. It is an old-style "auto court" motel which were popular in the 30s and 40s. Don't let the plain, non-descript outside appearance fool you--it is very clean and comfortable. We were in Room 14, which also has a kitchenette. The room had 2 queen beds, a small bathroom, TV, and free wi-fi. It was very clean--carpets appear to be fairly new. Deadbolts on the door (they still use actual keys!). No A/C, but a fan is provided. Some of the original architecture inside the room is charming (the shower had green and black tile which you might find in the 40s, with a coved entrance--good sized for a tall or larger person). Only a few minutes from the Port Angeles waterfront, and a grocery store about a block away. Give it a whirl!…
The motel is 60s style place. Management appears to be disorganized....unsure how to use credit card machine etc. Room was clean with a small bathroom. Good location for visit to Hurricane Ridge. Supermarket was nearby.
This motel was recently sold, and the new owner is terrible! I had a reservation with the old owner for several days in a row. When I checked in with the new owner, it took her an hour to find my reservation and to check me in. Then, during my stay, she told me I had to leave early because she had rented my room to someone else. The office is “open” from 8am to 10pm, but the manager is seldom there during those hours, and nobody else is authorized to do anything. I requested room service on only one of the several days that I stayed. When I returned that evening the room was not cleaned. The manager said that the maid had not come to work that day, and gave no apology, as if it happens all the time. All View Motel used to be a nice place under the old owner. Now it is ruined by new and incompetent management. You should ignore all those older reports here on TripAdvisor; they no longer apply.…
My husband and I were on an adult getaway to the National Park and we stayed here based on reviews. The room was super clean! The front desk clerk was so nice and helpful. Everything about this place was easy, convenient and enjoyable. The only thing I would say that was a bit disappointing was that it looked to be in the mountains but it was really in town and a neighborhood. Market was close and a nice stroll on Main Street nearby. So it was nice to be close to things but I had initially thought it was a bit remote.
We called directly first thing in the morning looking for accommodations to check in around 7pm that evening. The older Asian lady was nice and had one room left so we gave her our credit card details and booked the room. When we arrived after a 5 hour drive they had given our room to someone else and said it was too late. Her husband was extremely rude and not empathetic whatsoever and after discussing why this had happened was very volatile and told us to get off the property. I couldn't believe he was running this motel or if they had owned it, bottom line we were taken back and received no apology from him. His wife was very apologetic and did feel bad about the situation. As we were outside trying to figure out other accommodations in the area, a guest had walked up to the office opened the door to enter and the Asian man I guess thought it was us...proceeded to get in a running start and slam the door shut from the inside which almost threw the 50 something guest down the stairs. At this point, clearly this manager or owner had lost his mind and had no control over his emotions or lack of customer service in the hospitality industry. I have traveled around the world and stayed at high-end to motels and this by far was the worst experience I've had in 20 years. This was very unacceptable to take payment and then to say at arrival they gave it away. They said they called my cell once but I wouldn't have known since they called from a blocked number 2 hours later. I would give this place a minus 5 star rating.…
We left a three night stay after one day plus Stool was plugged No help from management Plunger sitting outside Obviously had issues before Do not recommend this place Other problems could be overlooked No Kleenex No hair dryer Shower was good if you are no taller than 5’1” Needs lots of improvement
Where to start? For a room that cost right around $200 - you get: no deadbolt on door, no AC (just one small window in main area and one in bath); room was tiny and crowded. Shower was installed at 5 foot height! Most people will have to do a backbend to wash hair. Not a single hook or rod in the bathroom. No shelves or caddy in the shower; seriously - you're charging $200/night and can't spring for a $10 shower caddy from Walmart? Needed to put all items on shower floor. Water temperature varied from hot to cold. No tissues. No coffee maker in room and office says they provide coffee but only starting at 8am. Stayed in room 21. Maybe the other rooms were better.
Stayed there while touring the Olympic National Park. It is priced at about 1/2 what Super 8 was charging. Staff was friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean and good sized. Had a separate room for the kitchen with refrigerator, stove, and a few dishes. I thought it was very quiet, but then we may not have had neighbors that night. The office does close at 10P so you are out of luck if you need ice after that unless you make your own in your kitchen. I have started to prefer "mom and pop" motels after several good experiences in my recent travels. I do not need to pay for a workout room or swimming pool it I do not plan on using them.
