Check in was easy with the door code given ahead of time and thorough instructions included. The inn looked warm and inviting when we arrived with lights outside all the rooms. It was probably one of the prettiest inns/motels I've ever stayed in. The heat worked well in the room and everything was clean. I appreciated that the mini fridge in my room had a completely separate freezer compartment so I could be sure my ice packs were able to refreeze overnight. (I stayed in room #3, Cape Alava). The shower did drain slowly and I ended up standing in a couple inches of water, but I informed the owners of this when I checked out. My parents stayed in room #5 Elwha Valley and they liked it in general, but the next morning they told me their room was an adjoining room and they could very clearly hear everything the couple in the other room said, so they ended up whispering all night. They also said light came through around the edges of the adjoining door. This is something to pay attention to when choosing a room since it seems the door between rooms is not soundproofed well and lets light in. There were earplugs and noise machines provided in the rooms, which I really appreciated. I always bring a noise machine when I stay in hotels, but it was nice to not have to unpack mine. Even with the noise issues in the adjoining room, my parents said they'd stay here again. I would also stay here again, especially since I prefer to be closer to nature than stay in nearby Port Angeles.…
The cabin like hotel rooms were lovely and I felt close to nature. They had nice wood panelling and the beds were comfortable with nice quilts and soft pillows and fluffy bath towels. Everything was sparkling clean yet homey. It is located within the rainforest water shed so the drive up from Port Angeles is lovely.
Very easy check in. We got the code on the way. The rooms are spacious, everything super clean. The farm is nearby and we can pet the animals in the morning. Cute place, very quiet at night, and very close to the park entrance.
John and Kate were very cordial and attentive hosts. Our room was cozy and nicely decorated, and the Inn was convenient to hiking locations and Port Angeles area. Nicole in housekeeping was very personable; Elaine was extremely helpful in suggesting several spots for sightseeing and hiking. Granny's Cafe, on the property itself, offered reasonably priced meals, and a large ice cream cone at a small price! We had a bathroom leak issue which John's maintenance staff tried to resolve. Because the issue was still present when we checked out, John refunded a very fair percentage of our total charge as compensation for our inconvenience with the bathroom situation.
This is a cute motel type accommodation -room decorated well and small private patio at the back . As per motel style walls are thin between rooms so expect to hear your neighbours . Their is an excellent distance check in system where you receive a code to access your room . Granny’s kitchen adjacent to the motel serves a good variety of quality take away food and is also a gift shop . However it is not open 7 days a week and this means you need to travel for food options or use microwave / fridge in the room . The place has character and was a great stop for us in the way to the Olympic park .
This place is amazing! My partner and I are obsessed with all of the animals, and Granny’s is a must stop for the chickpea burger and pretty much everything on the menu. Stayed in the A frame which is perfect for arriving later in the day/evening.
Don't be scared away by the motel feel to the location as the rooms are delightful with a Pottery Barn decorative theme. Very clean and updated inside. It is definitely in the realm of "quirky" with a small animal (emus, donkey, goats) pen, a camping area behind the hotel and next to a popular road side cafe for take out food and soft serve ice cream.
Stayed August 8-11, 2022; #2 Boulder Creek room. Pros: nicely redecorated rooms. Staff was pleasant and responsive to requests. Cons: The bed was poor and severely dipped in the middle. Thin walls, so you can hear people talking next door. No AC, so it was very hot the first night, with only a 12” fan to move air from one open window to another. Constant traffic noise from Highway 101, which has truck traffic all night long. WIFI was quite slow and only worked intermittently. Very cramped room, no counter space in bath. Further issues - apparently, this place was an old roadside motor inn built in the 50’s, and has the limitations of an old structure with a tiny footprint for the rooms. No closet or dresser – just hooks on the wall for clothing. The old shower had poor water flow and temperature control. The toilet ran a lot (the flapper valve leaked) and the management said they would address it. They also said that condensation from the cold water in the commode tank resulted in water pooling in various places on the bathroom floor, and cheerfully supplied us with 2 -3 extra floor mats a day to sop up the water. What was a constant problem was the very foul odor in the bath. I don’t know if it was mold or a bacteria problem. Restaurant closed early when it was supposed to be open. We paid $219 w/o tax nightly; we wouldn’t go back for 50% off. The previous four nights we stayed at the Olympic Lodge for $322 per night. There we enjoyed a room double the size with large upholstered sitting chairs, large bath with two sinks and lots of countertop space, a full closet, king size bed, dressers, gorgeous relaxing lobby with fireplace, free full hot breakfast buffet, swimming pool and hot tub, and outdoor dining, reading spots with fabulous water features next to a golf course. Our last night in the area we stayed one night in Forks at the Pacific Inn, which gave us a huge room, upholstered sitting chair, dining table, huge bath, AC, dresser, TV, king size bed for $184.…
We picked this place for the location and the on site restaurant. The location is great and we enjoyed our evening walk to Marymere falls as well as the generally beautiful setting near Lake Crescent and part way between Hurricane Ridge and the Hoh rainforest. We were rather disappointed to find that the restaurant was closed when there is no other food nearby. The room and bed were comfortable but the bath needs some tlc. The caulk is old and black in places and there was very little flow from the shower head. So, nice string but...
We had the first suite that was 2 separate bedrooms with a kitchenette. Nice to have breakfast in room and prepare lunches for the day . Rooms clean and kitchen well supplied , A take our restaurant is adjacent to the property which was convenient. No Ac which usually is not a problem but we had hot temps , Fans are supplied ! Can hear road noise but at night it is quiet . Would stay here again if visiting Olympic NP.
