I booked my room 2 weeks in advance through AirBnB. Upon check in to the Red Lion operated by Comfort stays, I was informed that the jacuzzi was not functioning. When I reached my room I found that the wifi was not functioning. I called the front desk to ask about the wifi service. The clerk at the desk confirmed that the wifi service was out. Availability of these two amenities were important in my decision when I booked my stay with the Red Lion. I had other choices for places to stay at similar or lower costs. My request for a $50 reimbursement in compensation for the missing amenities was refused. The room cost $200 in total with taxes and fees.
I stayed here for 3 days. The bed was very comfortable. Everything in the room seemed new and was super clean. The people at the front desk were very nice & well trained in their jobs. The road up to the summit is right outside of town. There is a paved path along the waterfront. I expected transient people would be down along the harbor & there they were so I did not walk around after dark. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. I enjoyed my stay there.
pleasant room- comfy bed. Desk clerk was a bit stuffy and not helpful. Stayed here a few years prior with an excellent experience- this time was meh. On a brighter note- the crab and shrimp omelette in the hotel restaurant was amazing- totally recommend.
The hotel was quiet and comfortable. Check in and out was very easy. Only issue was the price: it is much too expensive. The price is comparable to 5 star hotels in Vancouver BC and Seattle however the amenities and quality of the hotel are not at the level of those establishments. A bit disappointing.
Check-in was fast and easy, the accommodations were clean and comfortable, and there was adequate parking near our room. Check-out efficient and easy. We will gladly stay at the Red Lion Inn again next time we are in Port Angeles.
We stayed at port Angeles for 3 days and then a second round a few days later. On the first stay we were on the top floor facing the water. The view of the harbor it’s amazing. You can enjoy it from your bed! The second stay we didn’t get so lucky on getting a top floor. However the view from the first floor facing the view was beautiful. We loved the location between the view and lot of food options. Both rooms had a balcony with chair that let you enjoy the view. We look forward to stay here next time we visit Port Angeles
We stayed two nights at the Red Lion in Port Angeles while visiting Olympic National Park. Our room was nice - spacious, clean and comfortable. For breakfast, 48 Degrees North, right next door had great food and opened early. The best part of this hotel though was the great location, right on the harbor. The Olympic Discovery Trail ran right next to the hotel along the waterfront and was great for catching sunrise and sunset. It was easy walking to restaurants, stores and most of downtown Port Angeles. Overall, we had a nice stay and I would probably stay here again.
Our room was perfectly located for us to attend the CrabFest. Check in was easy as we reserved the room months in advance. Hats off to the front desk crew for doing a great job when they were inundated with guests. Good work! Our room was very clean and all of the other staff that we encountered were helpful and courteous. Next time I will book a room looking out to the sea. Our room was quiet, the beds were comfy and the pillows as well.
We stayed in the Red Lion to visits Hurricane Ridge. I thought by, paying a little more for a room, we could enjoy a little more luxury. Not so. The hotel looked very old, more like a motel than a hotel. It was very loud with ferry horns and people walking by at all hours. In addition, though I asked several l times, I got no maid services. When I complained, the front desk staff asked if I wanted them to bring trash bags so I could empty my own trash. They also said that they have too many rooms to service. Not my problem. For $300 a night?!? No thank you. I would never stay here again. It would be fine for a motel, but not for what they are charging. You are right on the harbor, but you cannot see the water, so you are paying for something you cannot see.
This hotel wants $400 a night for a gross not disinfected or cleaned hotel with Covid still happening. Then they charge you more than they are suppose to. The manager Donta Alward doesn’t care about the customers or the proof you have. She over charges and calls you a liar with proof….. be warned and stay away….
